"Of them, some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e ., have been martyred) and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed (i.e., they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allah) in the least." (V.33:23)

باب {فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً}
Sahih al-Bukhari 4783
Narrated Anas: We think that the Verse: 'Among the Believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah.' was revealed in favor of Anas bin An-Nadir.
حضرت انس بن مالک ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: میرے خیال کے مطابق درج ذیل آیت حضرت انس بن نضر ؓ کے متعلق نازل ہوئی تھی: ’’اہل ایمان میں سے کچھ مرد ایسے ہیں کہ انہوں نے اللہ تعالٰی سے جو عہد کیا تھا اسے سچا کر دکھایا ۔۔‘‘
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Mere khayal ke mutabiq darj zail ayat Hazrat Anas bin Nazr (Radi Allahu Anhu) ke mutaliq nazil hui thi: ''Ahl-e-iman mein se kuch mard aise hain ke unhon ne Allah Tala se jo ehd kiya tha isay sacha kar dikhaya..''
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : نُرَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ نَزَلَتْ فِي أَنَسِ بْنِ النَّضْرِ : مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ سورة الأحزاب آية 23 .
