Allah's Statement: "And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All Mighty, the All-Knowing." (V.36:38)

Sahih al-Bukhari 4803
Narrated Abu Dharr: I asked the Prophet about the Statement of Allah:-- 'And the sun runs on fixed course for a term (decreed), ' (36.38) He said, Its course is underneath Allah's Throne. (Prostration of Sun trees, stars. mentioned in Qur'an and Hadith does not mean like our prostration but it means that these objects are obedient to their Creator (Allah) and they obey for what they have been created for).
حضرت ابوذر ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے نبی ﷺ سے ارشاد باری تعالٰی: ’’سورج اپنی مقررہ گزر گاہ پر چل رہا ہے۔‘‘ کے متعلق دریافت کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اس کا ٹھکانا عرش کے نیچے ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abu Zar (Radiyallahu Anhu) hi se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Main ne Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se irshad-e-Bari Ta'ala: ''Sooraj apni muqarrara guzar-gaah par chal raha hai.'' ke mutalleq daryaft kiya to aap ne farmaya: ''Is ka thikana arsh ke neeche hai.''
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا سورة يس آية 38 ، قَالَ : مُسْتَقَرُّهَا تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ .
