The Statement of Allah the Exalted: "He (Solomon peace be upon him) said: "My Lord! Forgive me. And bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me. Verily, You are the Bestower." (V.38:35)

Sahih al-Bukhari 4808
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, Last night a demon from the Jinns came to me (or the Prophet said, a similar sentence) to disturb my prayer, but Allah gave me the power to overcome him. I intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the mosque till the morning so that all of you could see him, but then I remembered the Statement of my brother Solomon:--'My Lord! Forgive me and bestow on me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me.' (38.35) The narrator added: Then he (the Prophet) dismissed him, rejected. 'Nor am I one of the pretenders (a person who pretends things which do not exist).' (38.86)
حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے، وہ نبی ﷺ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’گزشتہ رات ایک دیوہیکل جن مجھ سے بھڑ پڑا۔‘‘ یا اس طرح کا کوئی اور کلمہ ارشاد فرمایا، تا کہ میری نماز خراب کرے، لیکن اللہ تعالٰی نے مجھے اس پر غالب کر دیا۔ میں نے چاہا کہ مسجد کے ستونوں میں سے کسی ستون کے ساتھ اسے باندھ دوں تاکہ صبح کے وقت تم سب اسے دیکھ سکو لیکن مجھے اپنے بھائی حضرت سلیمان ؑ کی دعا یاد آ گئی کہ ’’اے میرے رب! مجھے ایسی سلطنت دے کہ میرے بعد کسی کو میسر نہ ہو۔‘‘ روح راوی نے کہا: آپ ﷺ نے اس جن کو ذلیل و رسوا کر کے بھگا دیا۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, woh Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se bayan karte hain ke aap ne farmaya: ''Guzishta raat ek deyo-haikal jinn mujh se bhid pada.'' Ya is tarah ka koi aur kalma irshad farmaya, ta ke meri namaz kharab kare, lekin Allah Ta'ala ne mujhe us par ghalib kar diya. Main ne chaha ke masjid ke sutonon mein se kisi sutoon ke saath usay baandh doon taake subah ke waqt tum sab usay dekh sako lekin mujhe apne bhai Hazrat Sulaiman (Alaihis Salam) ki dua yaad aa gayi ke ''Ae mere Rabb! Mujhe aaisi sultanat de ke mere baad kisi ko muyassar na ho.'' Rooh raavi ne kaha: Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne us jinn ko zaleel-o-ruswa kar ke bhaga diya.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّ عِفْرِيتًا مِنَ الْجِنِّ تَفَلَّتَ عَلَيَّ الْبَارِحَةَ ، أَوْ كَلِمَةً نَحْوَهَا لِيَقْطَعَ عَلَيَّ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَأَمْكَنَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ وَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَرْبِطَهُ إِلَى سَارِيَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تُصْبِحُوا وَتَنْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ كُلُّكُمْ ، فَذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ أَخِي سُلَيْمَانَ : رَبِّ وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لا يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِي سورة ص آية 35 ، قَالَ رَوْحٌ : فَرَدَّهُ خَاسِئًا .
