Chapter: None should ask for the hand of a lady who is already engaged to his brother (Muslim)

باب لاَ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ، حَتَّى يَنْكِحَ أَوْ يَدَعَ

Sahih al-Bukhari 5144

And none should ask for the hand of a girl who is already engaged to his (Muslim) brother, but one should wait till the first suitor marries her or leaves her.

(نیز آپ نے فرمایا) ”کوئی آدمی اپنے بھائی کی منگنی پر منگنی نہ کرے یہاں تک کہ وہ نکاح کرے یا منگنی ترک کر دے۔“

(Neez aap ne farmaya) "Koi aadmi apne bhai ki mangni par mangni na kare yahan tak ke woh nikah kare ya mangni tark kar de."

وَلَا يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَنْكِحَ أَوْ يَتْرُكَ .
