Sahih al-Bukhari 550
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to offer the `Asr prayer at a time when the sun was still hot and high and if a person went to Al-`Awali (a place) of Medina, he would reach there when the sun was still high. Some of Al Awali of Medina were about four miles or so from the town.
حضرت انس بن مالک ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز عصر اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب آفتاب بلند اور تیز ہوتا۔ دریں اثنا اگر کوئی عوالی تک جاتا تو ان کے ہاں ایسے وقت پہنچ جاتا کہ سورج ابھی بلند ہوتا تھا۔ اور عوالی کے بعض مقامات مدینہ منورہ سے کم و بیش چار میل پر واقع تھے۔
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne farmaya: Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) namaz-e-asar is waqt parhte thay jab aftab buland aur taiz hota. Dareen asna agar koi Awali tak jata to un ke haan aise waqt puhanch jata ke sooraj abhi buland hota tha. Aur Awali ke baaz maqamat Madina Munawwara se kam-o-besh char meel par waqay thay.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ حَيَّةٌ ، فَيَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى الْعَوَالِي ، فَيَأْتِيهِمْ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ ، وَبَعْضُ الْعَوَالِي مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى أَرْبَعَةِ أَمْيَالٍ أَوْ نَحْوِهِ .
