Sahih al-Bukhari 5730
Abdullah bin Amir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) went to Sham and when he reached Sargh, he got the news that an epidemic (of plague) had broken out in Sham. Abdur-Rahman bin Auf (رضي الله تعالى عنه) told him that Allah’s Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘if you hear that it (plague) has broken out in a land, do not go to it, but if it breaks out in a land where you are present, do not go out escaping from it.’
حضرت عبداللہ بن عامر سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب ؓ شام کے لیے روانہ ہوئے، جب آپ سرغ مقام پر پہنچے تو آپ کو اطلاع ملی کہ شام میں طاعون کی وبا پھوٹ پڑی ہے پھر حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف ؓ نے انہیں بتایا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کا ارشاد گرامی ہے: ”جب تم کسی علاقے کے متعلق سنو کہ وہاں وبا پھوٹ پڑی ہے تو وہاں مت جاؤ، اور جب کسی ایسی جگہ وبا پھوٹ پڑے جہاں تم موجود ہوتو وہاں سے مت نکلو۔“
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Aamir se riwayat hai ke Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (radiyallahu anhu) Shaam ke liye rawana hue, jab aap Sargh maqam par pahunche to aap ko ittila mili ke Shaam mein taoon ki waba phoot pari hai phir Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Auf (radiyallahu anhu) ne unhein bataya ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ka irshad-e-girami hai: ‘Jab tum kisi ilaqe ke mutalliq suno ke wahan waba phoot pari hai to wahan mot jao, aur jab kisi aisi jagah waba phoot pare jahan tum maujood hoto wahan se mot niklo.’
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ خَرَجَ إِلَى الشَّأْمِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بِسَرْغَ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ الْوَبَاءَ قَدْ وَقَعَ بِالشَّأْمِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِهِ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَقْدَمُوا عَلَيْهِ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا فِرَارًا مِنْهُ .
