Sahih al-Bukhari 6417
Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet ( صلى ہللا عليه وآله وسلم) drew a square and then drew a line in the middle of it and let it extend outside the square and then drew several small lines attached to that central line, and said, ‘this is the human being, and this, (the square) in his lease of life, encircles him from all sides (or has encircled him), and this (line), which is outside (the square), is his hope, and these small lines are the calamities and troubles (which may befall him), and if one misses him, an-other will snap (overtake) him, and if the other misses him, a third will snap (overtake) him.’
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک مربع خط کھینچا۔ پھراس کے درمیان سے ایک اور خط کھینچا جو مربع خط سے باہرنکلا ہوا تھا۔ اس کے بعد آپ نے درمیانے اندرونی خط کے دائیں بائیں دونوں جانب چھوٹے چھوٹے مزید خط کھینچے پھر فرمایا: ’’یہ انسان ہے اور یہ اس کی موت سے جو اسے گھیرے ہوئے ہے ۔ اور یہ خط جو باہر نکلا ہوا ہے وہ اس کی اُمید ہے۔ چھوٹے چھوٹے خطوط اس کی دنیاوی مشکلات ہیں۔ اگر انسان ایک مشکل سے بچ کر نکل جاتا ہے تو دوسری میں پھنس جاتا ہے اور اگر دوسری سے نکلتا ہے تو تیسری میں پھنس جاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (Razi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek murabba khat kheencha. Phir us ke darmiyan se ek aur khat kheencha jo murabba khat se bahar nikla hua tha. Is ke baad Aap ne darmiyani andruni khat ke dayein bayein dono janib chhote chhote mazeed khat kheenche phir farmaya: 'Yeh insan hai aur yeh is ki maut hai jo ise ghere hue hai. Aur yeh khat jo bahar nikla hua hai woh is ki umeed hai. Chhote chhote khutoot is ki dunyawi mushkilat hain. Agar insan ek mushkil se bach kar nikal jata hai toh dusri mein phans jata hai aur agar dusri se nikalta hai toh teesri mein phans jata hai.'
حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : خَطَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطًّا مُرَبَّعًا ، وَخَطَّ خَطًّا فِي الْوَسَطِ خَارِجًا مِنْهُ ، وَخَطَّ خُطَطًا صِغَارًا إِلَى هَذَا الَّذِي فِي الْوَسَطِ مِنْ جَانِبِهِ الَّذِي فِي الْوَسَطِ ، وَقَالَ : هَذَا الْإِنْسَانُ ، وَهَذَا أَجَلُهُ مُحِيطٌ بِهِ ، أَوْ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِهِ ، وَهَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ خَارِجٌ أَمَلُهُ ، وَهَذِهِ الْخُطَطُ الصِّغَارُ الْأَعْرَاضُ ، فَإِنْ أَخْطَأَهُ هَذَا نَهَشَهُ هَذَا ، وَإِنْ أَخْطَأَهُ هَذَا نَهَشَهُ هَذَا .
