Sahih al-Bukhari 6418
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) drew a few lines and said, ‘this is (man's) hope, and this is the instant of his death, and while he is in this state (of hope), the nearer line (death) comes to Him.’
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے چند خطوط کھینچے پھر فرمایا: ’’یہ انسان کی اُمید ہے اور یہ اس کی موت ہے۔ انسان اسی حالت میں رہتا ہے کہ قریب والا خط (موت) اس تک پہنچ جاتا ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (Razi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne chand khutoot kheenche phir farmaya: 'Yeh insan ki umeed hai aur yeh is ki maut hai. Insan isi halat mein rehta hai ke qareeb wala khat (maut) us tak pahunch jata hai.'
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : خَطَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطُوطًا ، فَقَالَ : هَذَا الْأَمَلُ وَهَذَا أَجَلُهُ فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ كَذَلِكَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ الْخَطُّ الْأَقْرَبُ .
