باب قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَلاَ تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَلاَ يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا إِنَّمَا يَدْعُو حِزْبَهُ لِيَكُون

Sahih al-Bukhari 6433
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he brought water to Uthman bin Affan ( رضي الله تعالیعنہ) to perform the ablution while he was sitting on his seat. He performed the ablution in a perfect way and said, ‘I saw the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) performing the ablution in this place and he performed it in a perfect way and said, ‘whoever performs the ablution as I have done this time and then proceeds to the mosque and offers a two-rak`at prayer and then sits there (waiting for the compulsory congregational prayers), then all his past sins will be forgiven.’ The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) further added, ‘do not be conceited (thinking that your sins will be forgiven because of your prayer).’
حمران بن ابان سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا کہ میں حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پاس وضو کا پانی لے کر حاضر ہوا جبکہ وہ چبوترے پر بیٹھے ہوئے تھے۔ انھوں نے اچھی طرح وضو کرنےکے بعد فرمایا: میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو اسی جگہ وضو کرتے دیکھا ہے، آپ نے اچھی طرح وضو کیا، پھر فرمایا: ’’جس نے اس طرح وضوکیا، پھر مسجد میں آیا اور دو رکعتیں ادا کیں، پھر وہیں بیٹھا رہا تو اس کے سابقہ گناہ معاف ہوجاتے ہیں۔‘‘ انھوں نے کہا: نبی کریم ﷺ نے (یہ بھی) فرمایا: ’’اس پر مغرور نہ ہوجاؤ۔‘‘
Humran bin Aban se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha ke main Hazrat Usman (Razi Allahu Anhu) ke paas wudhu ka pani le kar hazir hua jabke woh chabutre par baithe hue the. Unhon ne achi tarah wudhu karne ke baad farmaya: Main ne Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko isi jagah wudhu karte dekha hai, Aap ne achi tarah wudhu kiya, phir farmaya: 'Jis ne is tarah wudhu kiya, phir masjid mein aya aur do rakatein ada kiin, phir wahin baitha raha toh us ke sabiqa gunah maaf ho jate hain.' Unhon ne kaha: Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne (yeh bhi) farmaya: 'Is par maghroor na ho jao.'
حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ حُمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبَانَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ بِطَهُورٍ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ عَلَى الْمَقَاعِدِ ، فَتَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ وَهُوَ فِي هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْوُضُوءِ ، ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا تَغْتَرُّوا .
