باب قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَتَتْبَعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ "

Sahih al-Bukhari 7320
Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘you will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, span by span and cubit by cubit, so much so that even if they entered a hole of a mastigure, you would follow them.’ We said, ‘O Allah's Apostle (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم), ‘do you mean the Jews and the Christians?’ He said, ‘whom else?’
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری ؓ سے روایت ہے وہ نبی ﷺ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم پہلے لوگوں کے طریقوں کی ایسے پیروی کروگے جیسے بالشت، بالشت کے برابر ہے اور ہاتھ ہاتھ کے برابر ہے یہاں تک کہ اگر وہ سانڈے کی بل میں داخل ہوئے ہوں گے تو تم اس میں بھی ان کا اتباع کرو گے۔“ ہم نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! اس سے یہود نصاریٰ مراد ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اور کون مراد ہو سکتے ہیں؟“
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai woh Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se bayan karte hain ke Aap ne farmaya: ''Tum pehle logon ke tariqon ki aise pairwi karo ge jaise balisht, balisht ke barabar hai aur hath hath ke barabar hai yahan tak ke agar woh saanday ki bil mein dakhil huay hon ge to tum is mein bhi un ka ittaba karo ge.'' Hum ne poocha: Allah ke Rasool! Is se Yahud-o-Nasara murad hain? Aap ne farmaya: ''Aur kaun murad ho sakte hain?''
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : لَتَتْبَعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ شِبْرًا شِبْرًا ، وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ تَبِعْتُمُوهُمْ ، قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْيَهُودُ ، وَالنَّصَارَى ، قَالَ : فَمَنْ .
