Sunan al-Darimi 2262

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "No one is more jealous than Allah, and that is why He has prohibited shameful deeds (obscenities). And no one loves to be praised more than Allah."


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”الله تعالیٰ سے زیادہ غیرت مند اور کوئی نہیں اسی لئے اس نے بےحیائی و بدکاری کے کاموں کو حرام کیا اور اللہ سے بڑھ کر کوئی اپنی مدح بھی پسند کرنے والا نہیں۔“

Sayyidna Abdullah bin Masood Raziallahu Anhu ne kaha: Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Allah Ta'ala se zyada ghairat mand aur koi nahin isi liye usne behayaai o badkari ke kaamon ko haram kiya aur Allah se badh kar koi apni madah bhi pasand karne wala nahin."

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ، لِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ".

Ibn Jabir ibn Atik narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There are two types of jealousy: one that Allah loves and one that Allah hates. The jealousy that Allah loves is when a man becomes jealous when there is reason for suspicion (like if his wife is laughing and joking with another man in private). And the jealousy that Allah hates is when a man becomes jealous without reason (like if he sees a man leaving his house and, without any investigation, kills him out of jealousy)."

ابن جابر بن عتیک نے کہا: میرے والد نے مجھ سے حدیث بیان کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ایک غیرت کو اللہ پسند فرماتا ہے اور ایک قسم کی غیرت کو الله تعالیٰ ناپسند کرتا ہے، اور جس غیرت کو اللہ تعالیٰ پسند کرتا ہے وہ یہ ہے کہ انسان شک کی جگہ غیرت کرے (جیسے اس کی عورت سے کوئی تنہائی میں ہنسی مذاق کرے تو اسے غیرت آ جائے) اور وہ غیرت جو اللہ تعالیٰ کو پسند نہیں وہ یہ ہے کہ بلا شک (اور قرائن) کے بلاوجہ غیرت کرے (جیسے کوئی آدمی اس کے گھر سے نکلے اس کو بلا تحقیق کئے غیرت سے مار ڈالے)۔“

Ibn Jabar bin Uteek ne kaha: Mere wald ne mujh se hadees bayan ki keh Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Ek ghairat ko Allah pasand farmata hai aur ek qisam ki ghairat ko Allah Taala napasand karta hai, aur jis ghairat ko Allah Taala pasand karta hai wo ye hai keh insan shak ki jagah ghairat kare (jaise uski aurat se koi tanhai mein hansi mazaq kare to usse ghairat aa jaye) aur wo ghairat jo Allah Taala ko pasand nahi wo ye hai keh bila shak (aur qarain) ke bilawaja ghairat kare (jaise koi aadmi uske ghar se nikle usko bila tehqeeq kiye ghairat se maar dale)“.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: "مِنَ الْغَيْرَةِ مَا يُحِبُّ اللَّه، وَمِنْهَا مَا يُبْغِضُ اللَّهُ: فَالْغَيْرَةُ الَّتِي يُحِبُّ اللَّه: الْغَيْرَةُ فِي الرِّيبَةِ، وَالْغَيْرَةُ الَّتِي يُبْغِضُ اللَّه، الْغَيْرَةُ فِي غَيْرِ رِيبَةٍ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2264

Muqeera bin Shuba (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was informed that Sa'd bin 'Ubada (may Allah be pleased with him) had said, "If I find a man with my wife, I will strike him with my sword and not give him any quarter." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Are you surprised at the sense of honor of Sa'd? Verily, I have more sense of honor than he, and Allah has more sense of honor than me. It is because of His sense of honor that He forbade shameful deeds, both open and secret. And no one is more forgiving than Allah, and no one likes to be praised more than Allah. That is why He sent Prophets with good news and warnings, so that people may repent to Him before punishment. And no one loves to be praised more than Allah. That is why He promised Paradise."

سیدنا مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ کو یہ خبر لگی کہ سیدنا سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: اگر میں اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ کسی مرد کو دیکھوں تو تلوار سے مار ڈالوں، اسے کبھی نہ چھوڑوں، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم سعد کی غیرت سے تعجب کرتے ہو؟ میں ان سے زیادہ غیرت دار ہوں اور اللہ جل جلالہ مجھ سے زیادہ غیرت دار ہے، اس نے چھپی ہوئی اور علانیہ بےشرمی کی باتوں کو (اسی غیرت ہی کی وجہ سے) حرام کیا اور الله تعالیٰ سے زیادہ کوئی شخص غیرت دار نہیں ہے، اور اللہ سے زیادہ کسی شخص کو عذر پسند نہیں ہے، اس لئے اللہ تعالیٰ نے پیغمبروں کو بھیجا خوشخبری دیتے ہوئے اور ڈراتے ہوئے (تاکہ بندے سزا سے پہلے اس کی بارگاہ میں عذر اور توبہ کر لیں) اور کسی شخص کو اللہ سے زیادہ تعریف پسند نہیں اس لئے الله تعالیٰ نے جنت کا وعدہ کیا (تاکہ بندے اس کی عبادت و تعریف کر کے جنت حاصل کریں)۔“

Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shubah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko yeh khabar lagi ke Sayyiduna Saad bin Ubadah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain: Agar main apni biwi ke sath kisi mard ko dekhon to talwar se maar dalun, use kabhi na chhorun, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Tum Saad ki ghairat se taajjub karte ho? Main unse ziada ghairat dar hun aur Allah Jalla Jalaluhu mujhse ziada ghairat dar hai, usne chhupi hui aur aelaniya besharmi ki baton ko (isi ghairat hi ki wajah se) haram kiya aur Allah Ta'ala se ziada koi shakhs ghairat dar nahi hai, aur Allah se ziada kisi shakhs ko uzr pasand nahi hai, isliye Allah Ta'ala ne paighambaron ko bheja khushkhabri dete hue aur darate hue (taki bande saza se pehle uski bargah mein uzr aur tauba kar len) aur kisi shakhs ko Allah se ziada tareef pasand nahi isliye Allah Ta'ala ne Jannat ka wada kiya (taki bande uski ibadat o tareef kar ke Jannat hasil karen).".

حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ وَرَّادٍ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: بَلَغَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ، يَقُولُ: لَوْ وَجَدْتُ مَعَهَا رَجُلًا لَضَرَبْتُهَا بِالسَّيْفِ غَيْرَ مُصْفَحٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ غَيْرَةِ سَعْدٍ؟ أَنَا أَغَيْرُ مِنْ سَعْدٍ وَاللَّهُ أَغَيْرُ مِنِّي، وَلِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَلَا شَخْصَ أَغَيْرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ، وَلَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَعَاذِيرِ، وَلِذَلِكَ بَعَثَ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ وَلَا شَخْصَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّه، وَلِذَلِكَ وَعَدَ الْجَنَّةَ".
