Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A vow concerning a sin should not be fulfilled, nor (a vow) concerning something which does not belong to the son of Adam (i.e., which is beyond his capacity)."

سیدنا عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول الله ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”گناه و معصیت کی نذر کو پورا نہ کرنا چاہیے اور نہ اس نذر کو پورا کرے جس کا ابنِ آدم کو اختیار (یعنی قدرت) نہیں ہوتا ہے۔“
Sayyidina Imran bin Husain (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Gunah o masiyat ki nazar ko poora na karna chahiye aur na us nazar ko poora kare jis ka ibn e Aadam ko ikhtiyar (yani qudrat) nahi hota.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَا وَفَاءَ لِنَذْرٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ، وَلَا فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ".
