Chapter on congregational prayer in a mosque where it has been prayed once

باب في صلاة الجماعة في مسجد قد صلي فيه مرة

Sunan al-Darimi 1406

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a man praying alone and said: “Is there no one who will give charity to this man and pray with him?”


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک آدمی کو اکیلے نماز پڑھتے دیکھا تو فرمایا: ”کوئی آدمی نہیں ہے جو اس پر صدقہ کرے اور اس کے ساتھ نماز پڑھے؟“

Sayyidna Abusaid Khudri raziallahu anhu se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek aadmi ko akele namaz parhte dekha to farmaya: ”Koi aadmi nahin hai jo is par sadqah kare aur iske sath namaz parhe?“.

أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَسْوَدُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي وَحْدَهُ، فَقَالَ: "أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا فَيُصَلِّي مَعَهُ".

Sunan al-Darimi 1407

It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man entered the Masjid and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had already led the prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Will someone not give this man charity by praying with him?” Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: One may pray the Asr prayer (with him) but if he repeats the Maghrib prayer, he should pray four rak'ahs.


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک آدمی مسجد میں داخل ہوا اور نبی کریم ﷺ جماعت کرا چکے تھے، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کوئی شخص اس کو صدقہ نہیں دیتا کہ اس کے ساتھ نماز پڑھے۔“ امام دارمی رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: عصر کی نماز پڑھ سکتا ہے لیکن اگر مغرب کی نماز دوبارہ پڑھے تو چار رکعت پڑھے۔

Sayyidna Abusaid Khudri razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek aadmi masjid mein dakhil hua aur Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jamaat kara chuke the, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Koi shakhs is ko sadqa nahi deta ki is ke sath namaz padhe.“ Imam Darmi rahimahullah ne kaha: Asr ki namaz padh sakta hai lekin agar Maghrib ki namaz dobara padhe to char rakat padhe.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَسْوَدُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَقَدْ صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: "أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا فَيُصَلِّي مَعَهُ؟". قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ: يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ وَيُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ وَلَكِنْ يَشْفَعُ.
