Chapter on charity not permissible for the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his family

باب الصدقة لا تحل للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ولا لأهل بيته

Sunan al-Darimi 1680

Narrated Abu Huraira: Hasan bin Ali took a date from the dates of Zakat and put it in his mouth. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Chhi, chhi! Throw it away. Don't you know that we do not eat the Sadaqa?"

سیدنا ابوہريرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ سیدنا حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہما نے زکاة کی کھجور میں سے ایک کھجور اٹھا کر اپنے منہ میں ڈال لی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”چھی چھی، نکالو اسے، کیا تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ ہم لوگ صدقہ نہیں کھاتے؟“

Sayidana Abu Hurairah razi Allah anhu ne kaha ki Sayidana Hasan bin Ali razi Allah anhuma ne zakat ki khajoor mein se ek khajoor utha kar apne munh mein daal li to Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Chhi chhi, nikalo ise, kya tumhein maloom nahin ki hum log sadqah nahin khate?".

أَخْبَرَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: أَخَذَ الْحَسَنُ تَمْرَةً مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَجَعَلَهَا فِي فِيهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"كِخْ كِخْ أَلْقِهَا، أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَنَّا لَا نَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ؟".

Sunan al-Darimi 1681

Our master Abu Layla Bilal Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, said: I was with the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, and our master Hasan bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with both of them, was also with him. He (Hasan) took a date from the dates of charity. The Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, took it from him and said: "Don't you know that charity is not lawful for us?".

سیدنا ابولیلیٰ بلال انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس تھا اور سیدنا حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہما آپ ﷺ کے پاس تھے، انہوں نے صدقہ کی کھجور میں سے ایک کھجور اٹھا لی، آپ ﷺ نے ان سے اس کو چھین لیا اور فرمایا: ”کیا تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ ہمارے لئے صدقہ حلال نہیں ہے؟“

Sayyidna Abu Layla Bilal Ansari RA ne kaha: mein Nabi Kareem SAW ke pass tha aur Sayyidna Hasan bin Ali RA aap SAW ke pass thay, unhon ne sadqa ki khajoor mein se ek khajoor utha li, aap SAW ne un se us ko chheen liya aur farmaya: "kya tumhen maloom nahin ke hamare liye sadqa halal nahin hai?".

أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنْ عِيسَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى، قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، فَأَخَذَ تَمْرَةً مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَانْتَزَعَهَا مِنْهُ، وَقَالَ:"أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهُ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا الصَّدَقَةُ".
