The Mothers of the Believers, Sayyida Umm Salama and Sayyida Aisha, may Allah be pleased with them, reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sometimes woke up in the morning in a state of Janabah (ritual impurity following sexual intercourse), yet he would still observe fasting.

ام المومنین سیدہ ام سلمہ اور ام المومنین سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو کبھی جماع کے سبب جنابت کی حالت میں بھی صبح ہو جاتی، پھر بھی آپ ﷺ روزہ رکھ لیتے تھے۔
Um ul Momineen Syeda Umme Salma aur Um ul Momineen Syeda Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha ne khabar di ke Nabi Kareem Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ko kabhi jima ke sabab junubat ki halat mein bhi subah ho jati, phir bhi aap Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam roza rakh lete thay.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، وَعَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرتَاهُ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ"كَانَ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، ثُمَّ يَصُومُ".
