Chapter on the Hajj of the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed in a single Hajj season

باب في حج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حجة واحدة

Sunan al-Darimi 1824

Abu Ishaq said: I heard from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, performed Hajj only once after the Hijrah. The narrator said: And Abu Ishaq said: The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, also performed Hajj once before the Hijrah.

ابواسحاق نے کہا: میں نے سیدنا زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، وہ کہتے ہیں: نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہجرت کے بعد صرف ایک مرتبہ حج کیا، راوی نے کہا: اور ابواسحاق نے کہا: ہجرت سے پہلے بھی نبی کریم ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ کیا۔

Abu Ishaq ne kaha: mein ne Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se suna, woh kahte hain: Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hijrat ke baad sirf ek martaba Hajj kiya, raavi ne kaha: aur Abu Ishaq ne kaha: hijrat se pehle bhi Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba kiya.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ، يَقُولُ: "حَجَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ هِجْرَتِهِ حَجَّةً". قَالَ: وَقَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاق: "حَجَّ قَبْلَ هِجْرَتِهِ حَجَّةً"..

Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): How many times did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) perform Hajj? He said: He performed Hajj only once, and four Umrahs, the first Umrah when the polytheists prevented the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from performing Umrah (i.e., Umrat al-Hudaibiyah), the second Umrah when the truce was made for the following year (i.e., in Dhu al-Qa'dah of the following year of the Treaty of Hudaibiyah), and the third Umrah when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed the spoils of war of Hunayn in Dhu al-Qa'dah, and the fourth Umrah he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed with his Hajj.

قتادہ رحمۃ اللہ علیہ نے کہا: میں نے سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے کتنے حج کئے؟ کہا: صرف ایک مرتبہ حج کیا، اور چار عمرے کئے، پہلا عمره جب کہ آپ ﷺ کو مشرکین نے عمرہ کرنے سے روک دیا (یعنی عمرة الحدیبيۃ)، دوسرا عمره اس وقت کیا جب آئندہ سال کے لئے صلح ہوئی (یعنی صلح الحدیبیہ کے اگلے سال ذی القعدہ میں)، اور تیسرا عمرہ اس وقت کیا جب آپ ﷺ نے حنین کے مال غنیمت کی تقسیم ذی القعدہ میں کی، اور چوتھا عمرہ آپ ﷺ نے اپنے حج کے ساتھ کیا۔

Qatada rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: mein ne sayyidna Anas bin Malik razi Allah anhu se poocha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kitne Hajj kiye? Kaha: sirf ek martaba Hajj kiya, aur chaar Umrah kiye, pehla Umrah jab keh aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko mushrikeen ne Umrah karne se rok diya (yani Umrah al-Hudaibiyah), doosra Umrah us waqt kiya jab aayinda saal ke liye sulh hui (yani sulh al-Hudaibiyah ke agle saal Zilqad mein), aur teesra Umrah us waqt kiya jab aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Hunain ke maal ghanimat ki taqseem Zilqad mein ki, aur chautha Umrah aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne Hajj ke sath kiya.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ: كَمْ حَجَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: "حَجَّةً وَاحِدَةً، وَاعْتَمَرَ أَرْبَعًا: عُمْرَتُهُ الْأُولَى الَّتِي صَدَّهُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ عَنْ الْبَيْتِ، وَعُمْرَتُهُ الثَّانِيَةُ حِينَ صَالَحُوهُ فَرَجَعَ مِنْ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ، وَعُمْرَتُهُ مِنْ الْجِعْرَانَةِ حِينَ قَسَّمَ غَنِيمَةَ حُنَيْنٍ فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ، وَعُمْرَتُهُ مَعَ حَجَّتِهِ".
