Sunan al-Darimi 2405
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the slave of a poor man cut off the hand of the slave of a rich man. The owner of the (injured) slave came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, this slave (who committed the crime) belongs to poor people (who are unable to pay the compensation). Therefore, you did not impose any Diyat (compensation) on them."

سیدنا عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ فقیروں کے غلام نے مالداروں کے غلام کا ہاتھ کاٹ ڈالا، اس کے مالک نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: یارسول اللہ ﷺ ! یہ غلام فقیروں کا ہے (یعنی جو دیت ادا نہیں کر سکتے) اس لئے آپ ﷺ نے ان پر کچھ بھی (دیت) مقرر نہ کی۔
Sayyidna Imran bin Husayn (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki faqiron ke ghulam ne maaldaron ke ghulam ka hath kaat daala, uske malik Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hue, logon ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulallah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Yeh ghulam faqiron ka hai (yani jo deet ada nahi kar sakte) isliye aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un par kuchh bhi (deet) muqarar na ki.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ: "أَنَّ عَبْدًا لِأُنَاسٍ فُقَرَاءَ، قَطَعَ يَدَ غُلَامٍ لِأُنَاسٍ أَغْنِيَاءَ. فَأَتَى أَهْلُهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّهُ لِأُنَاسٍ فُقَرَاءَ؟ فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا".
