From the Book of Inheritance
٢٢-
ومن كتاب الفرائض Chapter: Al-Makatib (slaves with contract to purchase their freedom).
باب: المكاتب
Sunan al-Darimi 3038
Shabi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "The ruling of the school (of thought) is the ruling of the owned slave (i.e., the completely owned slave) until he is freed."
Grade: Hasan
شعبی رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: مکاتب کی حد مملوک (یعنی پورے غلام) کی حد ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ آزاد کر دیا جائے۔
Shabi rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: makateb ki had mamlook yani poore gulaam ki had hai yahan tak ke woh azad kar diya jaye.
(حديث مقطوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: "حَدُّ الْمُكَاتَبِ حَدُّ الْمَمْلُوكِ، حَتَّى يُعْتَقَ".
