Sunan al-Darimi 3045
It is narrated on the authority of Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to Jannat al-Baqi and saw a man being sold. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) approached him and bid for him, then left him (meaning he did not buy him). Another man saw him and bought him and set him free. Then he took him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: I bought him and I am setting him free. What is your opinion about this? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He is your (Muslim) brother and slave." He asked: What is your opinion about keeping him with me? He said: "If he thanks you, it is better for him and not good for you, and if he is ungrateful to you, then it is better for you and bad for him." He asked: What is your opinion about his wealth? He said: "If he dies and there are no heirs to inherit his wealth, then you are his heir."

حسن رحمہ اللہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ جنت البقیع کی طرف گئے تو دیکھا ایک آدمی بیچا جا رہا ہے، آپ ﷺ اس کے پاس پہنچے اور اس کے دام لگائے، پھر اس کو چھوڑ آئے (یعنی خریدا نہیں)، ایک اور آدمی نے اسے دیکھا اور خرید لیا اور آزاد کر دیا، پھر اس کو لے کر رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں آئے اور عرض کیا: میں نے اس کو خریدا ہے اور اس کو آزاد کرتا ہوں، آپ کی اس بارے میں کیا رائے ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”وہ تمہارا (اسلامی) بھائی اور غلام ہے“، اس نے پوچھا اس کو ساتھ رکھنے کے بارے میں آپ کی کیا رائے ہے؟ فرمایا: ”اگر اس نے تمہارا شکر ادا کیا تو یہ اس کے لئے بہتر ہے، اور تمہارے لئے اچھا نہیں ہے، اور اگر تمہاری وہ ناشکری کرے تو وہ تمہارے لئے بہتر اور اس کے لئے برا ہے“، اس نے پوچھا: اس کے مال کے بارے میں آپ کی کیا رائے ہے؟ فرمایا: ”اگر وہ مر جائے اور مال سمیٹنے والے وارث موجود نہ ہوں تو تم اس کے وارث ہو۔“
Hasan rahmatullah alai se marvi hai ki Nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Jannat ul Baqi ki taraf gaye to dekha ek aadmi becha ja raha hai, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) uske paas pahunche aur uske daam lagaye, phir usko chhod aaye (yani khareeda nahi), ek aur aadmi ne use dekha aur khareed liya aur aazaad kar diya, phir usko lekar Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein aaye aur arz kiya: maine usko khareeda hai aur usko aazaad karta hun, aap ki is bare mein kya raaye hai? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "woh tumhara (islami) bhai aur ghulam hai", usne puchha usko saath rakhne ke bare mein aap ki kya raaye hai? Farmaya: "agar usne tumhara shukar ada kiya to yeh uske liye behtar hai, aur tumhare liye achha nahi hai, aur agar tumhari woh nashukri kare to woh tumhare liye behtar aur uske liye bura hai", usne puchha: uske maal ke bare mein aap ki kya raaye hai? Farmaya: "agar woh mar jaye aur maal sametne wale waris maujood na hon to tum uske waris ho.".
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَشْعَثُ، عَنْ الْحَسَن": أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ"خَرَجَ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ، فَرَأَى رَجُلًا يُبَاعُ، فَأَتَاهُ فَسَاوَمَ بِهِ، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ فَرَآهُ رَجُلٌ فَاشْتَرَاهُ فَأَعْتَقَهُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُ هَذَا فَأَعْتَقْتُهُ، فَمَا تَرَى فِيهِ؟ فَقَالَ: هُوَ أَخُوكَ وَمَوْلَاكَ، قَالَ: مَا تَرَى فِي صُحْبَتِهِ؟ قَالَ: إِنْ شَكَرَكَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ وَشَرٌّ لَكَ، وَإِنْ كَفَرَكَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ وَشَرٌّ لَهُ، قَالَ: مَا تَرَى فِي مَالِهِ؟ قَالَ: إِنْ مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ عَصَبَةً فَأَنْتَ وَارِثُهُ".
