Sunan al-Darimi 347
Abbas al-Umyai said: It has reached me that the Prophet David, peace be upon him, used to say in his supplication: O Allah! You are pure (from all defects), You are my Lord, Majestic upon the Throne, and You have instilled Your fear in those who are in the heavens and the earth. So, the closest of Your creation to You in rank and position is the one who has the most fear and awe of You. And what knowledge is there that does not fear You? And what wisdom is there that does not follow Your command?
عباس العمي نے کہا: مجھے یہ خبر پہنچی ہے کہ نبی داؤد علیہ السلام اپنی دعا میں کہا کرتے تھے: اے اللہ! تو پاک ہے (ہر عیب سے)، تو میرا رب ہے، عرش کے اوپر جلوہ افروز ہے، اور تو نے اپنی خشیت ان لوگوں میں پیدا کر دی ہے جو زمین و آسمان میں ہیں، پس مقام و مرتبے میں تیری مخلوق میں تیرے قریب ترین وہ ہے جو سب سے زیادہ تیری خشیت و خوف والا ہے، اور وہ علم ہی کیا جو تجھ سے نہ ڈرے، اور وہ حکمت کیسی جو تیرے حکم کی پیروی نہ کرے۔
Abbas al-Umi ne kaha: mujhe ye khabar pahunchi hai ki Nabi Daud alaihissalam apni dua mein kaha karte the: Aye Allah! tu pak hai, tu mera Rab hai, Arsh ke upar jalwa afroz hai, aur tu ne apni khashyat un logon mein peda kar di hai jo zameen o asman mein hain, pas maqam o martabe mein teri makhlooq mein tere qareeb tarin wo hai jo sab se zyada teri khashyat o khauf wala hai, aur wo ilm hi kya jo tujh se na dare, aur wo hikmat kaisi jo tere hukm ki pairvi na kare.
(حديث موقوف) أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْعَمِّيِّ، قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ دَاوُدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُعَائِهِ: "سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ، أَنْتَ رَبِّي تَعَالَيْتَ فَوْقَ عَرْشِكَ، وَجَعَلْتَ خَشْيَتَكَ عَلَى مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، فَأَقْرَبُ خَلْقِكَ مِنْكَ مَنْزِلَةً أَشَدُّهُمْ لَكَ خَشْيَةً، وَمَا عِلْمُ مَنْ لَمْ يَخْشَكَ؟ وَمَا حِكْمَةُ مَنْ لَمْ يُطِعْ أَمْرَكَ؟!".
