Sunan al-Darimi 366
'Amr bin Maimoon (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took two-thirds of knowledge.' 'Amr said: This was mentioned to Ibrahim Nakha'i, so he said: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took nine-tenths of knowledge.
عمرو بن میمون رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ علم کے دو ثلث لے گئے، عمرو نے کہا یہ بات ابراہیم نخعی سے ذکر کی گئی تو انہوں نے فرمایا: سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ علم کے دس میں سے نو حصے لے گئے۔
Amro bin Maimoon rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: Sayyiduna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ilm ke do sulth le gaye, Amro ne kaha yeh baat Ibrahim Nakh'i se zikar ki gayi to unhon ne farmaya: Sayyiduna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ilm ke das mein se nau hisse le gaye.
(حديث مقطوع) أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مِهْرَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سِنَانٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ: "ذَهَبَ عُمَرُ بِثُلُثَيْ الْعِلْمِ"، فَذَكَرْتُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَقَالَ:"ذَهَبَ عُمَرُ بِتِسْعَةِ أَعْشَارِ الْعِلْمِ".
