Sunan al-Darimi 569
It is narrated on the authority of Hafs ibn 'Umar that Sayyiduna 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “Whoever's modesty decreased, his knowledge decreased.”
حفص بن عمر سے مروی ہے سیدنا عمر بن الخطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: جس نے حیا کی اس کا علم رقیق ہوا (کمزور ہوا)۔
Hafs bin Umar se marvi hai Sayyidna Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya: Jis ne haya ki us ka ilm raqiq hua (kamzor hua).
(حديث موقوف) وَعَنْ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ:"مَنْ رَقَّ وَجْهُهُ، رَقَّ عِلْمُهُ"..
