Chapter on a woman purifying herself for prayer or menstruation
باب المرأة تطهر عند الصلاة أو تحيض
Sunan al-Darimi 926
Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I read to Zayd ibn Yahya from Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding the woman who becomes pure after Asr prayer, what about her? He said: She will pray both Zuhr and Asr. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If the time of purity is shortly before sunset, then she will only pray Asr and not Zuhr, and if she becomes pure after sunset, then nothing is obligatory on her. It was asked to Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him): Is this your opinion too? He said: No.
امام دارمی رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: میں نے زید بن یحییٰ کے پاس امام مالک رحمہ اللہ سے یہ قول پڑھا کہ جو عورت عصر کے بعد پاک ہو تو؟ انہوں نے کہا: ظہر و عصر (دونوں) پڑھے گی۔ امام دارمی رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: اگر طہر کا وقت غروب آفتاب سے کچھ پہلے ہو تو صرف عصر پڑھے گی ظہر نہیں، اور اگر وہ غروب شمس کے بعد پاک ہو تو اس پر کچھ واجب نہیں، امام دارمی رحمہ اللہ سے پوچھا گیا: کیا آپ کا بھی یہی قول ہے؟ کہا: نہیں۔
Imaam Daarimi rahimahullah ne kaha: main ne Zaid bin Yahya ke paas Imaam Maalik rahimahullah se ye qaul parha ke jo aurat Asr ke baad paak ho to? Unhon ne kaha: Zuhr-o-Asr (donon) parhe gi. Imaam Daarimi rahimahullah ne kaha: agar tahr ka waqt ghuroob-e-aftab se kuch pehle ho to sirf Asr parhe gi Zuhr nahi, aur agar wo ghuroob-e-shams ke baad paak ho to us par kuch wajib nahi, Imaam Daarimi rahimahullah se poocha gaya: kya aap ka bhi yehi qaul hai? Kaha: nahi.
(حديث مقطوع) قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ الْمَرْأَةِ تَطْهُرُ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، قَالَ: "تُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ"، قُلْتُ: فَإِنْ كَانَ طُهْرُهَا قَرِيبًا مِنْ مَغِيبِ الشَّمْسِ، قَالَ:"تُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَلَا تُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ، وَلَوْ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَطْهُرْ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ، لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهَا شَيْءٌ"، سُئِلَ عَبْد اللَّهِ تَأْخُذُ بِهِ؟، قَالَ: لَا.
