Sahih Ibn Hibban 1302
'Imran ibn Husayn narrated: We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). We stopped at the end of the night in a place that a traveler finds most pleasing for a stop. We were not awakened until the heat of the sun woke us up. So-and-so, and so-and-so woke up. (Abu Raja' mentioned their names but 'Awf forgot them). Among us was Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) slept, he would not be awakened until he himself woke up. This is because we did not know what happened to him (ﷺ) in his sleep. So when Umar woke up and saw the condition of the people, he started saying the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) in a loud voice. The Prophet (ﷺ) woke up upon hearing his voice. When the Prophet (ﷺ) woke up, the people complained to him about their thirst. He (ﷺ) said, "Proceed, (and) do not mind it." So we proceeded for a short distance, and then he (ﷺ) dismounted and called for ablution water and performed ablution. Then the Iqamah for prayer was pronounced and he (ﷺ) led the people in prayer. When he (ﷺ) finished the prayer, he saw a man who had kept aloof and did not pray with the people. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked (him), "What prevented you from praying with the people, O so-and-so?" He said, "I became sexually impure and there is no water." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Use the earth, for it is sufficient for you." We proceeded further. The people complained to him (ﷺ) of thirst. So he (ﷺ) dismounted and called so-and-so (Abu Raja' mentioned his name but 'Awf forgot it) and 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Go and bring water for us." They both set out and met a woman with two water-skins or small vessels of water on her camel. They said to her, "Where is the water?" She said, "I was at this place yesterday at this time with the water and my people are behind me." They said to her, "Go along (with us)." She said, "Where?" They said, "To the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." She said, "Is it he whom they call the boy?" They said, "Yes, he is the one you mean. So come along." They brought her to the Prophet (ﷺ). She was made to dismount from her she-camel and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked for a utensil. He (ﷺ) poured water in it from the mouths of both the water-skins or the small vessels, tilted their mouths and loosened their straps. Then an announcement was made among the people to drink and water (their animals). So, whoever wished drank and whoever wished, gave water (to his animals). At the end of it all, he (ﷺ) gave a utensil full of water to the one who had become sexually impure and said, "Go and perform ablution." The woman was standing (there) looking at what was being done with her water. By Allah, when they departed from her, we felt that it (the water-skin) was fuller than it was when they (first) started (using the water). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Collect some food for her." So they collected for her dates, dough, flour and Sawiq (a kind of mash) till they had collected a large quantity of food for her. Then they put it in a cloth and placed the cloth containing the food in front of her. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to her, "By Allah, we have not decreased your water in any way, but it is Allah Who has given us water to drink."
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہمراہ سفر میں تھے۔ رات کے اخیر حصے میں ایک جگہ قیام کیا جو مسافر کو قیام کے لیے بہت مرغوب ہوتی ہے۔ ہم لوگ دھوپ کی حدت سے بیدار نہ ہوئے یہاں تک کہ دھوپ ہمیں جگانے والی ہوگئی۔ فلاں فلاں آدمی جاگ گئے (ابو راجع نے ان کے نام لیے تھے لیکن عوف بھول گئے) ۔ انہی میں حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ بھی تھے۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سوجاتے تو خود نہ جاگتے تو آپ کو نہ جگایا جاتا، اس لیے کہ ہم آپ پر آپ کی نیند کی حالت میں کیا گزری ہوگی، نہیں جانتے تھے۔ تو جب عمر رضی اللہ عنہ جاگے اور لوگوں کی حالت دیکھی تو بلند آواز سے تکبیر کہنا شروع کردی "اللہ اکبر" تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آپ کی آواز سن کر جاگ گئے۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جاگے تو لوگوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پیاس کی شکایت کی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا "چلو اللہ کے نام پر" تو ہم کچھ ہی دور گئے ہوں گے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اترے اور وضو کا پانی منگوایا اور وضو کیا پھر نماز کے لیے اقامت کہی گئی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ایک آدمی کو دیکھا کہ وہ الگ تھلگ کھڑا ہے اور لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز نہیں پڑھی تھی۔ تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا اے فلاں! تمہیں لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز پڑھنے سے کس چیز نے روکا؟ اس نے عرض کیا مجھے جنابت ہوگئی تھی اور پانی نہیں تھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا "تم زمین کو اپنی حاجت روائی کے لیے استعمال کرو کیونکہ وہ تمہارے لیے کافی ہے" ۔ ہم آگے چلے تو لوگوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پیاس کی شکایت کی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اتر پڑے اور فلاں فلاں (ابو راجع نے ان کا نام لیا تھا لیکن عوف بھول گئے) اور علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو بلایا اور فرمایا کہ "جاؤ ہمارے لیے پانی لے کر آؤ" ۔ تو وہ دونوں چلے اور ایک عورت سے ملے جس کے پاس پانی کے دو مشکیزے یا چھوٹے چھوٹے مشکیزے تھے جو اس کی اونٹنی پر لدے ہوئے تھے۔ انہوں نے اس سے کہا "پانی کہاں ہے؟" اس نے کہا "میں کل یہیں اسی وقت پانی کے ساتھ تھی اور میرے اہل وعیال میرے پیچھے آرہے ہیں" ۔ ان دونوں نے کہا "آپ ہمارے ساتھ چلیے" اس نے کہا "کہاں؟" انہوں نے کہا "رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں"۔ اس نے کہا "کیا وہی ہیں جنہیں لڑکا کہتے ہیں؟" انہوں نے کہا "ہاں وہی ہیں جنہیں تم کہہ رہی ہو، چلو" تو وہ اسے لے کر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے۔ اسے اپنی اونٹنی سے اتارا گیا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے برتن منگوایا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس میں دونوں مشکیزوں یا چھوٹے چھوٹے مشکیزوں کے منہ سے پانی انڈیلا اور ان کے منہ جھکا دیے اور ان کی رسیاں ڈھیلی کر دیں۔ پھر لوگوں میں اعلان کرادیا گیا کہ پانی پیو اور (اپنے جانوروں کو) پلائو۔ تو جس کا جی چاہا اس نے پیا اور جس کا جی چاہا اس نے (اپنے جانور کو) پلایا۔ یہاں تک کہ سب سے آخر میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جنبی والے کو برتن بھر کر پانی دیا اور فرمایا جاؤ اچھی طرح وضو کرو۔ وہ عورت کھڑی اپنے پانی کے ساتھ کیا سلوک ہورہا ہے دیکھ رہی تھی۔ اللہ کی قسم! جب وہ اس کے پاس سے چلے گئے تو ہمیں وہ (مشکیزہ) اس سے زیادہ بھرا ہوا محسوس ہوا جتنا کہ وہ شروع میں (پانی استعمال کرنے سے پہلے) تھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اس عورت کے لیے کچھ کھانا جمع کرو۔ تو لوگوں نے اس کے لیے کھجوریں، آٹا، میدہ اور سویق (ایک قسم کا دلیہ) جمع کیا یہاں تک کہ اس کے لیے بہت سا کھانا جمع ہوگیا۔ پھر اسے ایک کپڑے میں باندھ کر اس کے سامنے رکھ دیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا اللہ کی قسم! ہم نے تمہارے پانی میں کسی طرح کمی نہیں کی بلکہ اللہ ہی ہے جس نے ہمیں پانی پلایا۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain raziallahu anhu bayan karte hain ki hum Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke humrah safar mein thay. Raat ke akhir hisse mein ek jagah qayam kya jo musafir ko qayam ke liye bahut marghub hoti hai. Hum log dhoop ki hiddat se bedar na huye yahan tak ki dhoop humein jagane wali hogayi. Fulan fulan aadmi jaag gaye (Abu Raajih ne unke naam liye thay lekin Auf bhul gaye). Unhi mein Hazrat Umar bin Khattab raziallahu anhu bhi thay. Jab Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam sojate to khud na jagte to aap ko na jagaya jata, is liye ki hum aap par aap ki neend ki halat mein kya guzri hogi, nahin jante thay. To jab Umar raziallahu anhu jage aur logon ki halat dekhi to buland aawaz se takbeer kehna shuru kardi "Allah-u-Akbar" to Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam aap ki aawaz sun kar jaag gaye. Jab Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam jage to logon ne aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam se pyaas ki shikayat ki to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya "chalo Allah ke naam par" to hum kuch hi door gaye honge ki aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam utre aur wazu ka pani mangwaya aur wazu kiya phir namaz ke liye iqamat kahi gayi aur aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne logon ko namaz parhai. Jab aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam namaz se farigh huye to ek aadmi ko dekha ki woh alag thalag khada hai aur logon ke saath namaz nahin parhi thi. To Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne puchha aye fulan! tumhein logon ke saath namaz parhne se kis cheez ne roka? Usne arz kiya mujhe janabat hogayi thi aur pani nahin tha. Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya "tum zameen ko apni hajat rawai ke liye istemal karo kyunki woh tumhare liye kafi hai". Hum aage chale to logon ne aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam se pyaas ki shikayat ki to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam utar pade aur fulan fulan (Abu Raajih ne unka naam liya tha lekin Auf bhul gaye) aur Ali raziallahu anhu ko bulaya aur farmaya ki "jao humare liye pani lekar aao". To woh donon chale aur ek aurat se mile jis ke paas pani ke do mashkize ya chhote chhote mashkize thay jo uski untni par lade huye thay. Unhon ne us se kaha "pani kahan hai?" Usne kaha "main kal yahin isi waqt pani ke saath thi aur mere ahle waiaal mere peechhe aarahe hain". Un donon ne kaha "aap humare saath chaliye" Usne kaha "kahan?" Unhon ne kaha "Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein". Usne kaha "kya wohi hain jinhen ladka kahte hain?" Unhon ne kaha "haan wohi hain jinhen tum keh rahi ho, chalo" to woh use lekar Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir huye. Use apni untni se utara gaya aur Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne bartan mangwaya. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne us mein donon mashkizon ya chhote chhote mashkizon ke munh se pani undela aur unke munh jhuka diye aur unki rassian dheeli kar din. Phir logon mein elan karadiya gaya ki pani piyo aur (apne janwaron ko) piyao. To jis ka ji chaha usne piya aur jis ka ji chaha usne (apne janwar ko) pilaya. Yahan tak ki sab se akhir mein aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne junubi wale ko bartan bhar kar pani diya aur farmaya jao achhi tarah wazu karo. Woh aurat khadi apne pani ke saath kya suluk horaha hai dekh rahi thi. Allah ki qasam! Jab woh uske paas se chale gaye to humein woh (mashkiza) us se zyada bhara hua mehsoos hua jitna ki woh shuru mein (pani istemal karne se pehle) tha. Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya is aurat ke liye kuch khana jama karo. To logon ne uske liye khajoor, aata, maida aur sawiq (ek qism ka daliya) jama kiya yahan tak ki uske liye bahut sa khana jama hogaya. Phir use ek kapde mein bandh kar uske samne rakh diya. Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne us se farmaya Allah ki qasam! humne tumhare pani mein kisi tarah kami nahin ki balki Allah hi hai jisne humein pani pilaya.
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو رَجَاءٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ كُنَّا فِي سَفَرٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا فِي آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ وَقَعْنَا تِلْكَ الْوَقْعَةَ وَلَا وَقْعَةَ أَحْلَى عِنْدَ الْمُسَافِرِ مِنْهَا فَمَا أَيْقَظَنَا إِلَّا حَرُّ الشَّمْسِ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ فُلَانٌ وَفُلَانٌ وَكَانَ يُسَمِّيهِمْ أَبُو رَجَاءٍ وَنَسِيَهُمْ عَوْفٌ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ الرَّابِعُ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا نَامَ لَمْ يُوقَظْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ هُوَ يَسْتَيْقِظُ لَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي مَا يَحْدُثُ لَهُ فِي النَّوْمِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ عُمَرُ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَرَأَى مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسَ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا جَلِيدًا فَكَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ فَمَا زَالَ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ حَتَّى اسْتَيْقَظَ بِصَوْتِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ شَكَوْا إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُمْ فَقَالَ «لَا يَضِيرُ فَارْتَحِلُوا» وَارْتَحَلَ فَسَارَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَدَعَا بِالْوَضُوءِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَنُودِيَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَلَمَّا انْفَتَلَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِرَجُلٍ مُعْتَزِلٍ لَمْ يُصَلِّ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ «مَا مَنَعَكَ يَا فُلَانُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ؟ » فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَصَابَتْنِي جَنَابَةٌ وَلَا مَاءَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّعِيدِ فَإِنَّهُ يَكْفِيكَ» ثُمَّ سَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَشَكَا النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ الْعَطَشَ فَنَزَلَ فَدَعَا فُلَانًا وَكَانَ يُسَمِّيهِ أَبُو رَجَاءٍ وَنَسِيَهُ عَوْفٌ وَدَعَا عَلِيًّا رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ «اذْهَبَا فَأَتَيَا بِالْمَاءِ» فَانْطَلَقَا فَاسْتَقْبَلَتْهُمَا امْرَأَةٌ بَيْنَ مَزَادَتَيْنِ أَوْ سَطِيحَتَيْنِ مِنْ مَاءٍ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لَهَا وَقَالَا لَهَا أَيْنَ الْمَاءُ؟ فَقَالَتْ عَهْدِي بِالْمَاءِ أَمْسِ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ وَنَفَرُنَا خُلُوفٌ قَالَا لَهَا انْطَلِقِي قَالَتْ إِلَى أَيْنَ؟ قَالَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ هَذَا الَّذِي يُقَالُ لَهُ الصَّابِي؟ قَالَا هُوَ الَّذِي تَعْنِينَ فَانْطَلِقِي وَجَاءَا بِهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَاسْتَنْزَلُوهَا عَنْ بَعِيرِهَا وَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِإِنَاءٍ فَأَفْرَغَ فِيهِ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِ الْمَزَادَتَيْنِ أَوِ السَّطِيحَتَيْنِ وَأَوْكَأَ أَفْوَاهَهُمَا وَأَطْلَقَ الْعَزَالِي وَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ أَنِ اسْتَقُوا وَاسْقُوا قَالَ فَسَقَى مَنْ شَاءَ وَاسْتَسْقَى مَنْ شَاءَ وَكَانَ آخِرُ ذَلِكَ أَنْ أَعْطَى الَّذِي أَصَابَتْهُ الْجَنَابَةُ إِنَاءً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَقَالَ «اذْهَبْ فَأَفْرِغْهُ عَلَيْكَ» قَالَ وَهِيَ قَائِمَةٌ تَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَا يَفْعَلُ بِمَائِهَا قَالَ وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ أُقْلِعَ عَنْهَا حِينَ أُقْلِعَ وَإِنَّهُ لَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْنَا أَنَّهَا أَشَدُّ مَلْئًا مِنْهَا حِينَ ابْتُدِئَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اجْمَعُوا لَهَا طَعَامًا» فَجَمَعَ لَهَا مِنْ تَمْرٍ وَعَجْوَةٍ وَدَقِيقَةٍ وَسَوِيقَةٍ حَتَّى جَمَعُوا لَهَا طَعَامًا كَثِيرًا وَجَعَلُوهُ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَحَمَلُوهَا عَلَى بَعِيرِهَا وَوَضَعُوا الثَّوْبَ الَّذِي فِيهِ الطَّعَامُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تَعْلَمِينَ وَاللَّهِ مَا رَزَأْنَا مِنْ مَائِكِ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الَّذِي سَقَانَا»
