Sahih Ibn Hibban 1633
Rabi'ah ibn Yazid narrated to me from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Verily, Sulayman, son of Dawud, asked Allah, Blessed and Exalted, for three things, and He gave him two, and I hope that He gave him the third. He asked Him for a kingdom that would not befit anyone after him, and He gave it to him. And he asked Him for judgment that would coincide with His judgment, and He gave it to him. And he asked Him that whoever came to this House - meaning the House of Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) - not intending except to pray therein, that he would come out of it as the day his mother gave birth to him." Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "And I hope that He gave him the third."
مجھ سے ربیعہ بن یزید نے عبداللہ بن عمرو سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”سلیمان بن داؤد علیہ السلام نے اللہ تعالیٰ سے تین چیزیں مانگیں تو دو چیزیں تو اس نے انہیں عطا فرما دیں اور مجھے امید ہے کہ تیسری چیز بھی انہیں عطا فرما دی ہو گی۔ انہوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ سے ایسی بادشاہت مانگی جو ان کے بعد کسی کو نہ ملے تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں وہ بادشاہت عطا فرما دی اور انہوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ سے ایسا فیصلہ مانگا جو اللہ تعالیٰ کے فیصلے کے مطابق ہو تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں وہ بھی عطا فرما دیا اور انہوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ سے یہ مانگا کہ جو شخص بھی اس گھر یعنی بیت المقدس میں آئے اور اس کی نیت صرف یہ ہو کہ وہ اس میں نماز ادا کرے تو وہ اس گھر سے ایسے ہی نکلے جیسے اس دن نکلا تھا جس دن اس کی ماں نے اسے جنا تھا۔“ پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اور مجھے امید ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں یہ تیسری چیز بھی عطا فرما دی ہو گی۔“
Mujh se Rubai bin Yazid ne Abdullah bin Amro se riwayat ki keh Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: "Sulaiman bin Daud Alaihissalam ne Allah Ta'ala se teen cheezen mangi to do cheezen to usne unhen ata farma deen aur mujhe umeed hai ki teesri cheez bhi unhen ata farma di hogi. Unhon ne Allah Ta'ala se aisi badshahat mangi jo unke baad kisi ko na mile to Allah Ta'ala ne unhen wo badshahat ata farma di aur unhon ne Allah Ta'ala se aisa faisla manga jo Allah Ta'ala ke faisle ke mutabiq ho to Allah Ta'ala ne unhen wo bhi ata farma diya aur unhon ne Allah Ta'ala se yeh manga ki jo shakhs bhi is ghar yani Baitul Muqaddas mein aaye aur uski neeyat sirf yeh ho ki wo is mein namaz ada kare to wo is ghar se aise hi nikle jaise us din nikla tha jis din uski maa ne use jana tha." Phir Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: "Aur mujhe umeed hai ki Allah Ta'ala ne unhen yeh teesri cheez bhi ata farma di hogi."
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ دَاوُدَ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ثَلَاثًا فَأَعْطَاهُ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أَعْطَاهُ الثَّالِثَةَ سَأَلَهُ مُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ وَسَأَلَهُ حُكْمًا يُوَاطِئُ حُكْمَهُ فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ وَسَأَلَهُ مَنْ أَتَى هَذَا الْبَيْتَ يُرِيدُ بَيْتَ الْمَقْدِسِ لَا يُرِيدُ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةَ فِيهِ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مِنْهُ كَيَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أَعْطَاهُ الثَّالِثَ»
