Sahih Ibn Hibban 1837
Sulayman bin Yasar said: I heard Abu Huraira saying: I have not seen anyone whose prayer was more similar to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) than so-and-so, a governor who was in Medina." Sulayman said, "So, I prayed behind him and he would lengthen the first two rak'ahs of the Zuhr and shorten the last two. And he would shorten the 'Asr and recite in the first two rak'ahs of the Maghrib from the shorter surahs of Al-Mufassal, and in the 'Isha' from the middle surahs of Al-Mufassal, and in the Subh from the longer surahs of Al-Mufassal."
سلیمان بن یسار نے کہا : میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے ہوئے سنا : میں نے کسی کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز سے زیادہ مشابہت والی نماز پڑھتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھا سوائے فلاں شخص کے، جو مدینہ میں ایک حاکم تھے۔" سلیمان نے کہا : "تو میں نے اس کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی اور وہ ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں کو لمبی کرتے اور آخری دو کو مختصر کرتے۔ اور وہ عصر کی نماز کو مختصر کرتے اور مغرب کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں مفصل کی چھوٹی سورتوں سے اور عشاء میں مفصل کی درمیانی سورتوں سے اور فجر میں مفصل کی لمبی سورتوں سے تلاوت کرتے۔"
Sulaiman bin Yasar ne kaha: main ne Abu Hurairah razi Allahu anhu ko kehte huye suna: main ne kisi ko Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ki namaz se ziada mushabahat wali namaz parhte huye nahin dekha siwae falan shakhs ke, jo Madinah mein ek hakim the. Sulaiman ne kaha: to main ne uske peechhe namaz parhi aur woh Zuhr ki pehli do rak'aton ko lambi karte aur aakhiri do ko mukhtasar karte. Aur woh Asr ki namaz ko mukhtasar karte aur Maghrib ki pehli do rak'aton mein mufassal ki chhoti suraton se aur Isha mein mufassal ki darmiyani suraton se aur Fajr mein mufassal ki lambi suraton se tilawat karte.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ فُلَانٍ أَمِيرٌ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ فَصَلَّيْتُ أَنَا وَرَاءَهُ «فَكَانَ يُطِيلُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَيُخَفِّفُ الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَيُخَفِّفُ الْعَصْرَ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَفِي الْعِشَاءِ بِوَسَطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِطِوَالِ الْمُفَصَّلِ»
