Sahih Ibn Hibban 2133
Abu Mas'ud narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The most entitled of you to lead the people in prayer is the one who is best in reciting the Book of Allah. If they are equal in their recitation, then the one who has most knowledge of the Sunnah. If they are equal in the Sunnah, then the one who emigrated earliest. If they are equal in their emigration, then the one who is oldest. And a man should not lead another man in prayer when the latter has authority over him, nor should he sit on his cushion without his permission."
حضرت ابو مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم میں سب سے زیادہ لوگوں کی امامت کا حق دار وہ ہے جو قرآن مجید کو اچھے طریقے سے پڑھتا ہو، اگر قرأت میں برابر ہوں تو پھر وہ جسے سنت کا زیادہ علم ہو، اگر سنت میں برابر ہوں تو پھر وہ جس نے سب سے پہلے ہجرت کی ہو، اگر ہجرت میں برابر ہوں تو پھر وہ جس کی عمر زیادہ ہو اور کوئی شخص دوسرے شخص کی ایسی جگہ امامت نہ کرے جہاں اس کی ولایت ہو اور نہ ہی اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کے گھر والوں کی جگہ بیٹھے۔“
Hazrat Abu Masood Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ”Tum mein sab se ziada logon ki imamat ka haqdaar wo hai jo Quran Majeed ko achhe tareeqe se parhta ho, agar qirat mein barabar hon to phir wo jise sunnat ka ziada ilm ho, agar sunnat mein barabar hon to phir wo jis ne sab se pehle hijrat ki ho, agar hijrat mein barabar hon to phir wo jis ki umar ziada ho aur koi shakhs doosre shakhs ki aisi jagah imamat na kare jahan us ki wilayat ho aur na hi us ki ijazat ke baghair us ke ghar walon ki jagah baithe.“
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِالسُّنَّةِ فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي السُّنَّةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ سَوَاءً فَأَقْدَمُهُمْ سِنًّا وَلَا يَؤُمَّنَّ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ وَلَا يَقْعُدُ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ»
