Sahih Ibn Hibban 2142
Abu Hazim said: Some people came to Sahl ibn Sa'd and they were amazed by the pulpit, from what type of wood it was made. They asked him about it, and he said, "By Allah, I know best what it is made of. I saw, the first day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sat on it, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent a message to a woman, Sahl named her, 'Order your slave, the carpenter, to make for me some steps on which I may sit when I address the people.'" So she ordered him, and he made it from wood from the outskirts of the forest, then he brought it to her, so she sent to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he ordered for it to be placed here. Then I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) praying upon it, and saying takbir while he was on it, bowing while he was on it, raising his head after bowing while he was on it, and turning to leave, then he prostrated and prayed on the pulpit. Then he returned and when he had finished he faced the people and said: "O people, I only did this so that you may follow me and learn my prayer."
ابو حازم نے کہا: کچھ لوگ سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آئے تو وہ منبر کو دیکھ کر حیران ہوئے کہ وہ کس لکڑی سے بنا ہے۔ انہوں نے ان سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا، ”اللہ کی قسم! میں خوب جانتا ہوں کہ یہ کس چیز سے بنا ہے۔ میں نے دیکھا کہ جس دن رسول اللہ ﷺ اس پر پہلی بار تشریف فرما ہوئے تھے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک عورت کے پاس پیغام بھیجا، سہل رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کا نام بتایا، ’اپنے غلام، لکڑہارے کو حکم دو کہ میرے لیے کچھ سیڑھیاں بنائے جن پر میں لوگوں سے خطاب کرتے وقت بیٹھ سکوں۔‘ چنانچہ اس نے اسے حکم دیا، اور اس نے جنگل کے کنارے سے لکڑی سے اسے بنایا، پھر وہ اسے لے کر اس کے پاس آیا، تو اس نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس بھیجوایا اور آپ ﷺ نے حکم دیا کہ اسے یہاں رکھا جائے۔ پھر میں نے دیکھا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ اس پر نماز پڑھ رہے ہیں، اور اس پر کھڑے ہو کر تکبیر کہہ رہے ہیں، اس پر کھڑے ہو کر رکوع کر رہے ہیں، اس پر کھڑے ہو کر سر اٹھا رہے ہیں، اور مڑ کر جانے لگے تو اس منبر پر سجدہ کیا اور نماز پڑھی۔ پھر واپس آئے اور جب فارغ ہوئے تو لوگوں کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر فرمایا: ’اے لوگو! میں نے ایسا صرف اس لیے کیا ہے کہ تم میری اقتدا کرو اور میری نماز سیکھو۔‘
Abu Hazim ne kaha: Kuch log Sahl bin Saad Radi Allahu Anhu ke paas aaye to wo mimbar ko dekh kar hairan hue ke wo kis lakri se bana hai. Unhon ne unse iske baare mein poocha to unhon ne kaha, ”Allah ki qasam! Main khoob janta hun ke yeh kis cheez se bana hai. Maine dekha ke jis din Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is par pehli baar tashreef farma hue the to Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ek aurat ke paas paigham bheja, Sahl Radi Allahu Anhu ne uska naam bataya, ‘Apne gulaam, lakdihaare ko hukum do ke mere liye kuchh sidhiyan banaye jin par main logon se khitab karte waqt baith sakun.’ Chunanche usne use hukum diya, aur usne jungle ke kinare se lakri se use banaya, phir wo use lekar uske paas aaya, to usne Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke paas bhejwaya aur Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hukum diya ke use yahan rakha jaye. Phir maine dekha ke Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is par namaz padh rahe hain, aur is par khade ho kar takbeer keh rahe hain, is par khade ho kar ruku kar rahe hain, is par khade ho kar sar utha rahe hain, aur mud kar jaane lage to is mimbar par sajdah kiya aur namaz padhi. Phir wapas aaye aur jab farigh hue to logon ki taraf mutawajjah ho kar farmaya: ‘Aye logo! Maine aisa sirf is liye kiya hai ke tum meri iqtida karo aur meri namaz seekho.’
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ أَنَّ رِجَالًا أَتَوْا سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ وَقَدِ امْتَرَوْا فِي الْمِنْبَرِ مِمَّ عُودُهُ؟ فَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَأَعْرِفُ مِمَّ هُوَ وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ جَلَسَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى فُلَانَةً امْرَأَةٌ سَمَّاهَا سَهْلٌ أَنْ مُرِي غُلَامَكِ النَّجَّارَ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ لِي أَعْوَادًا أَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهَا إِذَا كَلَّمْتُ النَّاسَ فَأَمَرَتْهُ فَعَمِلَهَا مِنْ طَرْفَاءِ الْغَابَةِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِهَا فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَوَضَعَتْ هَاهُنَا ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَكَبَّرَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهَا وَرَكَعَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهَا وَرَفَعَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهَا وَتَوَلَّى الْقَهْقَرِيَ فَسَجَدَ وَرَقَى عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ثُمَّ عَادَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا صَنَعْتُ هَذَا لِتَأْتَمُّوا وَلِتَعْلَمُوا صَلَاتِي»
