Sahih Ibn Hibban 2261
Sahl bin Sa'd narrated that: There was a fight between (two tribes) of the sons of Amr bin Auf, so the Prophet ﷺ came to them to make peace between them, and he had prayed the Zuhr prayer. So he said to Bilal, "If the time for the Asr prayer comes, and I have not come, then order Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." So when the time for Asr prayer came, Bilal gave the Adhan and Iqamah and said: "O Abu Bakr! Come forward!" So Abu Bakr came forward. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, parting through the rows. So when the people saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ they moved aside. And Abu Bakr, when he entered into the prayer, he would not turn around, but when he saw the clearing of the way that they would not leave off from, he turned around. And he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ behind him. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured to him (Abu Bakr), "Keep going!" So Abu Bakr stayed for a short while. Then he praised Allah for the saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to him, "Keep going!" Then Abu Bakr walked backwards on his heels. So when the Prophet ﷺ saw that, he came forward and led the people in their prayer. So when he finished his prayer, he said: "O Abu Bakr! What prevented you, when I gestured to you that you should keep going, from doing so?" Abu Bakr said: "It was not for the son of Abu Quhafah to ever lead the Messenger of Allah ﷺ!" Then he said to the people: "If something happens to you during your prayer, then let the men glorify Allah (by saying Subhanallah) and let the women clap their hands."
سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ: عمرو بن عوف کی اولاد کی (دو قبیلوں) کے درمیان لڑائی ہو گئی تھی، تو نبی کریم ﷺ ان کے درمیان صلح کرانے کے لیے تشریف لے گئے اور آپ ﷺ نے ظہر کی نماز پڑھی تھی۔ تو آپ ﷺ نے بلال رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا: "اگر عصر کی نماز کا وقت آ جائے اور میں نہ آیا ہوں تو ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ کو حکم دینا کہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں"۔ چنانچہ جب عصر کی نماز کا وقت ہوا تو بلال رضی اللہ عنہ نے اذان اور اقامت کہی اور کہا: "اے ابو بکر! آگے بڑھیے!" تو ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ آگے بڑھے۔ پھر اللہ کے رسول ﷺ صفوں کو چیرتے ہوئے آئے۔ تو جب لوگوں نے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ کو دیکھا تو ہٹ گئے۔ اور ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ جب نماز میں داخل ہوئے تو پیچھے مڑ کر نہیں دیکھا، لیکن جب انہوں نے راستہ خالی کرنے کا سلسلہ دیکھا جو وہ نہ چھوڑتے تھے تو مڑ کر دیکھا۔ اور آپ رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو اپنے پیچھے دیکھا۔ تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان (ابو بکر) کی طرف اشارہ کیا، "آگے بڑھیے!" تو ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ تھوڑی دیر کے لیے رکے رہے۔ پھر آپ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اللہ کی حمد کی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے آپ رضی اللہ عنہ سے فرمایا، "آگے بڑھیے!" پھر ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل پیچھے ہٹے۔ تو جب نبی ﷺ نے یہ دیکھا تو آپ ﷺ آگے بڑھے اور لوگوں کو ان کی نماز پڑھائی۔ تو جب آپ ﷺ نے اپنی نماز ختم کی تو فرمایا: "اے ابو بکر! جب میں نے تمہیں اشارہ کیا تھا کہ تم آگے بڑھو تو تمہیں کس چیز نے روکا؟" ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: "ابو قحافہ کے بیٹے کے لیے یہ ہرگز مناسب نہ تھا کہ وہ کبھی اللہ کے رسول ﷺ کو نماز پڑھائے!" پھر آپ ﷺ نے لوگوں سے فرمایا: "اگر تمہیں اپنی نماز میں کوئی چیز پیش آ جائے تو مرد اللہ کی تسبیح کریں (سبحان اللہ کہہ کر) اور عورتیں اپنے ہاتھوں کو بجائیں"۔
Sahl bin Saad razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh: Amr bin Auf ki aulad ki (do qailon) ke darmiyaan larai ho gai thi, to Nabi Kareem ﷺ un ke darmiyaan sulh karane ke liye tashreef le gaye aur aap ﷺ ne Zuhr ki namaz parhi thi. To aap ﷺ ne Bilal razi Allah anhu se farmaya: "Agar Asr ki namaz ka waqt aa jaye aur main na aaya hun to Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu ko hukm dena ke logon ko namaz parhai"۔ Chunancha jab Asr ki namaz ka waqt hua to Bilal razi Allah anhu ne azan aur iqamat kahi aur kaha: "Aye Abu Bakr! Aage barriye!" To Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu aage barhe. Phir Allah ke Rasul ﷺ saffon ko chirte huye aaye. To jab logon ne Allah ke Rasul ﷺ ko dekha to hat gaye. Aur Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu jab namaz mein dakhil huye to piche mud kar nahi dekha, lekin jab unhon ne rasta khali karne ka silsila dekha jo wo na chhorte the to mud kar dekha. Aur aap razi Allah anhu ne Rasul Allah ﷺ ko apne piche dekha. To Rasul Allah ﷺ ne un (Abu Bakr) ki taraf ishara kiya, "Aage barriye!" To Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu thori dair ke liye ruke rahe. Phir aap razi Allah anhu ne Allah ki hamd ki keh Rasul Allah ﷺ ne aap razi Allah anhu se farmaya, "Aage barriye!" Phir Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu apni airiyon ke bal piche hatte. To jab Nabi ﷺ ne ye dekha to aap ﷺ aage barhe aur logon ko un ki namaz parhai. To jab aap ﷺ ne apni namaz khatm ki to farmaya: "Aye Abu Bakr! Jab maine tumhein ishara kiya tha ke tum aage barho to tumhein kis cheez ne roka?" Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu ne kaha: "Abu Quhafah ke bete ke liye ye hargiz munasib na tha ke wo kabhi Allah ke Rasul ﷺ ko namaz parhaye!" Phir aap ﷺ ne logon se farmaya: "Agar tumhein apni namaz mein koi cheez pesh aa jaye to mard Allah ki tasbeeh karein (Subhan Allah keh kar) aur auraten apne hathon ko bajayen".
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ قِتَالٌ بَيْنَ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ فَأَتَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِيُصْلِحَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَقَدْ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ فَقَالَ لِبِلَالٍ «إِنْ حَضَرَتِ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ وَلَمْ آتِ فَمُرْ أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ» فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتْ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ وَأَقَامَ وَقَالَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ تَقَدَّمْ فَتَقَدَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَشُقُّ الصُّفُوفَ فَلَمَّا رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ النَّاسُ صَفَّحُوا قَالَ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِذَا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ فَلَمَّا رَأَى التَّصْفِيحَ لَا يُمْسَكُ عَنْهُ الْتَفَتَ فَرَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَلْفَهُ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنِ امْضِ» فَلَبِثَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ هُنَيَّةً فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَلَى قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنِ امْضِ» ثُمَّ مَشَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَهْقَرَى عَلَى عَقِبِهِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ تَقَدَّمَ فَصَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ صَلَاتَهُمْ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ «يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ أَوْمَأْتُ إِلَيْكَ أَنْ لَا تَكُونَ مَضَيْتَ؟ » قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِابْنِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ أَنْ يَؤُمَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ «إِذَا نَابَكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِكُمْ شَيْءٌ فَلْيُسَبِّحِ الرِّجَالُ وَلْتُصَفِّقِ النِّسَاءُ»
