Sahih Ibn Hibban 2912
`Abd Allah ibn `Amir ibn Rabi`ah reported: Umar ibn al-Khattab, decided to go to Syria. When he reached...he received the news that there was a plague in Syria. `Abd al-Rahman ibn `Awf informed him that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; but if the plague outbreaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place." So, `Umar ibn al-Khattab returned with the people that year.
عبداللہ بن عمیر بن ربیع رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ شام جانے کا ارادہ کیے تو جب ۔۔۔ پہنچے تو انہیں خبر ملی کہ شام میں طاعون کی وبا پھیل گئی ہے، عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں بتلایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے کہ ”جب تم کسی زمین میں طاعون کی وبا کی خبر سنو تو وہاں داخل نہ ہو اور اگر تم کسی زمین میں ہو اور وہاں طاعون کی وبا پھیل جائے تو وہاں سے نکل کر مت بھاگو“ چنانچہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ اس سال لوگوں سمیت واپس آگئے ۔
Abdullah bin Umair bin Rabia Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Umar bin Khattab Radi Allahu Anhu Sham jane ka irada kiye to jab pahunche to unhen khabar mili ki Sham mein taoon ki waba phail gai hai, Abdul Rahman bin Auf Radi Allahu Anhu ne unhen batlaya ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya hai ki "Jab tum kisi zameen mein taoon ki waba ki khabar suno to wahan dakhil na ho aur agar tum kisi zameen mein ho aur wahan taoon ki waba phail jaye to wahan se nikal kar mat bhago" chunancha Umar bin Khattab Radi Allahu Anhu is saal logon samet wapas aagye.
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ خَرَجَ يُرِيدُ الشَّامَ فَلَمَّا دَنَا بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ بِهَا الطَّاعُونَ فَحَدَّثَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْوَجَعَ عَذَابٌ عُذِّبَ بِهِ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ لَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَهْبِطُوا عَلَيْهِ وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا فِرَارًا مِنْهُ» فَرَجَعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ بِالنَّاسِ ذَلِكَ الْعَامَ
