Chapter on the Virtue of Makkah

بَابٌ، فَضْلُ مَكَّةَ

Sahih Ibn Hibban 3710

`Abdul­lah ibn `Amr narrated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), while reclining against the Ka`bah, said: "The Corner (Black Stone) and the Maqam (Ibrahim) are two jewels from the jewels of Paradise. Were it not that Allah had concealed their radiance, they would illuminate (the space) between the East and West."

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بِسْطَامٍ بِالْبَصْرَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ الْحَرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُسَافِعُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ الْحَجَبِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ «الرُّكْنُ وَالْمَقَامُ يَاقُوتَتَانِ مَنْ يَوَاقِيتِ الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ اللَّهَ طَمَسَ عَلَى نُورِهِمَا لَأَضَاءَتَا مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ»
