Sahih Ibn Hibban 504
Ibn Hani reported: When Hani came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with his people, he heard them calling Hani by the nickname Abu Hakam, 'father of the judge.' The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called him and said, “Verily, Allah is the Judge and judgment is His. Why are you called by the nickname father of the judge?” Hani said, “My people, when they differed over something, they would agree to make me the judge between them, and I would judge between them.” The Prophet said, “Verily, that is good. What children do you have?” He said, “Shuraih, Abdullah, and Muslim.” He said, “Which of them is the eldest?” He said, “Shuraih.” He said, “Then you are Abu Shuraih, the father of Shuraih.” Then he prayed for him and his children. When the people wanted to return to their land, he gave each man among them land wherever he liked in his land. Abu Shuraih said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me something that will make me worthy of Paradise.” He said, “Pleasant speech, spreading peace, and feeding others.”
ابن ہانی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ہانی رضی اللہ عنہ اپنے لوگوں کے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ وہ ہانی رضی اللہ عنہ کو ابو حکم کہہ کر پکارتے ہیں ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہانی رضی اللہ عنہ کو بلا کر فرمایا اللہ ہی حاکم ہے اور سارا حکم اسی کا ہے تم ابو حکم کیوں کہلاتے ہو ؟ ہانی رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کی کہ یا رسول اللہ! جب بھی ان کے درمیان کسی معاملے میں اختلاف ہوتا ہے تو وہ سب اس بات پر متفق ہو جاتے ہیں کہ آپ ہمارے درمیان فیصلہ کر دیں چنانچہ میں ان کے درمیان فیصلہ کر دیتا ہوں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا یہ تو اچھی بات ہے تمہاری اولاد میں کون کون ہیں ؟ عرض کی کہ شریح، عبداللہ اور مسلم۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ان میں سب سے بڑا کون ہے عرض کی کہ شریح۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا پھر تم ابو شریح ہو پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے اور ان کی اولاد کے لیے دعا فرمائی۔ پھر جب لوگ اپنے وطن واپس جانے لگے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان میں سے ہر شخص کو اپنی زمین میں جہاں چاہا زمین عطا فرمائی۔ ابو شریح رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا کہ اللہ کے رسول! مجھے ایسی چیز بتائیے جس سے میں جنت کا مستحق بن جاؤں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اچھی بات کہو، سلامتی پھیلاؤ اور لوگوں کو کھانا کھلاؤ۔
Ibn Hani RA se riwayat hai ki Hani RA apne logon ke sath Rasool Allah SAW ki khidmat mein hazir hue to aap SAW ne unhen ye kahte hue suna ki woh Hani RA ko Abu Hukm kah kar pukarte hain. Rasool Allah SAW ne Hani RA ko bula kar farmaya Allah hi haakim hai aur sara hukm usi ka hai tum Abu Hukm kyun kahlate ho? Hani RA ne arz ki ki Ya Rasool Allah! Jab bhi un ke darmiyaan kisi maamle mein ikhtilaf hota hai to woh sab is baat par muttafiq ho jate hain ki aap humare darmiyaan faisla kar den chunancha mein un ke darmiyaan faisla kar deta hun. Aap SAW ne farmaya ye to achhi baat hai tumhari aulad mein kaun kaun hain? Arz ki ki Shuraih, Abdullah aur Muslim. Aap SAW ne farmaya in mein sab se bada kaun hai arz ki ki Shuraih. Aap SAW ne farmaya phir tum Abu Shuraih ho phir aap SAW ne un ke aur un ki aulad ke liye dua farmai. Phir jab log apne watan wapas jane lage to aap SAW ne un mein se har shakhs ko apni zameen mein jahan chaha zameen ata farmai. Abu Shuraih RA ne arz ki ki Allah ke Rasool! Mujhe aisi cheez bataiye jis se mein Jannat ka mustahiq ban jaun. Aap SAW ne farmaya ki achhi baat kaho, salamti phelao aur logon ko khana khilao.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ عَنِ ابْنِ هَانِئٍ أَنَّ هَانِئًا لَمَّا وَفَدَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَعَ قَوْمِهِ فَسَمِعَهُمْ يُكَنُّونَ هَانِئًا أَبَا الْحَكَمِ فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فقَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَكَمُ وَإِلَيْهِ الْحُكْمُ فَلِمَ تُكَنَّى أَبَا الْحَكَمِ»؟ قَالَ قَوْمِي إِذَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِي شَيْءٍ رَضُوا بِي حَكَمًا فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فقَالَ «إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَسَنٌ فَمَا لَكَ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ»؟ قَالَ شُرَيْحٌ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَمُسْلِمٌ قَالَ «فَأَيُّهُمْ أَكْبَرُ»؟ قَالَ شُرَيْحٌ قَالَ «فَأَنْتَ أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ» فَدَعَا لَهُ وَلِوَلَدِهِ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ الْقَوْمُ الرُّجُوعَ إِلَى بِلَادِهِمْ أَعْطَى كُلَّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ أَرْضًا حَيْثُ أَحَبَّ فِي بِلَادِهِ قَالَ أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ يُوجِبُ لِيَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ «طِيبُ الْكَلَامِ وَبَذْلُ السَّلَامِ وَإِطْعَامُ الطَّعَامِ»
