Chapter: What was narrated concerning: Once the Iqamah has been called, there should be no Prayer except the obligatory one

باب مَا جَاءَ فِي إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَلاَ صَلاَةَ إِلاَّ الْمَكْتُوبَةُ

Sunan Ibn Majah 1151

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (رضئ الله تعالی عنہ) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) said: “Once the Iqamah has been called, there should be no prayer but the obligatory one.” Another chain with similar wording. 126

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جب فرض نماز کے لیے اقامت کہہ دی جائے تو فرض نماز کے علاوہ کوئی بھی نماز نہیں ہوتی ۔ اس سند سے بھی ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے اسی کے ہم مثل حدیث مروی ہے۔

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Jab farz namaz ke liye iqamat kah di jaye to farz namaz ke alawa koi bhi namaz nahi hoti. Is sand se bhi Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se isi ke hum misal hadith marwi hai.

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ أَبُو بِشْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةُ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1152

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Sarjis (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saw a man performing the two Rak’ah before the morning prayer while he himself was performing prayer. When he had finished praying, he said to him: “Which of your two prayers did you intend to be counted (i.e., accepted)?”

عبداللہ بن سرجس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک شخص کو دیکھا جو نماز فجر سے پہلے دو رکعت پڑھ رہا تھا، اس وقت آپ فرض پڑھ رہے تھے، جب آپ ﷺ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا: اپنی دونوں نماز میں سے کس نماز کا تم نے اعتبار کیا؟ ۔

Abdul-Allah bin Sarjas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam ne ek shakhs ko dekha jo namaz fajr se pehle do rakat padh raha tha, us waqt aap farz padh rahe the, jab aap sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam namaz se farigh hue to farmaaya: apni donon namaz mein se kis namaz ka tum ne etibar kiya?

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَى رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا صَلَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ بِأَيِّ صَلَاتَيْكَ اعْتَدَدْتَ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1153

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Malik bin Buhainah (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ) said: “The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) passed by a man who was praying when the Iqamah for Subh prayer had been called, and he said something to him, I do not know what he said. When he finished, we surrounded the man and asked him: ‘What did the Apostle of Allah (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) say to you?’ He said: ‘He said to me: “Soon one of you will pray Fajr with four Rak’ah.’”

عبداللہ بن مالک بن بحینہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ ایک شخص کے پاس سے گزرے جو نماز پڑھ رہا تھا، اور نماز فجر کے لیے اقامت کہی جا رہی تھی، آپ ﷺ نے اس سے کچھ کہا جو میری سمجھ میں نہیں آیا، جب وہ شخص نماز سے فارغ ہوا تو ہم اس کے گرد یہ پوچھنے کے لیے جمع ہو گئے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے تم سے کیا کہا تھا؟ اس شخص نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: قریب ہے کہ اب تم میں سے کوئی فجر کی نماز چار رکعت پڑھے ۔

Abdul-illah bin Malik bin Bahinah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ek shakhs ke pas se guzare jo namaz padh raha tha, aur namaz fajr ke liye iqamat kahi ja rahi thi, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne us se kuch kaha jo meri samjh mein nahin aaya, jab woh shakhs namaz se farigh hua to hum us ke gard yeh poochhne ke liye jama ho gaye ke Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne tum se kya kaha tha? Is shakhs ne kaha ke Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaaya: Qarib hai ke ab tum mein se koi fajr ki namaz char rakat padhe

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ أُقِيمَتْ صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَلَّمَهُ بِشَيْءٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَحَطْنَا بِهِ نَقُولُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ مَاذَا قَالَ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الْفَجْرَ أَرْبَعًا .
