Sunan Ibn Majah 1391
It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Abu Awfa (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) prayed two Rak’ah on the day when he was given the glad tidings of the head (death) of Abu Jahl.

عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جس دن نبی اکرم ﷺ کو ابوجہل کا سر لائے جانے کی بشارت سنائی گئی، تو آپ ﷺ نے دو رکعت نماز پڑھی۔
Abdul'llah bin Abi Aufi (رضي الله تعالى عنه)u se riwayat hai ke jis din Nabi akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko Abu Jahl ka sir laye jane ki basharat sunaayi gayi, to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne do rakat namaz padhi.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، حَدَّثَتْنِي شَعْثَاءُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: صَلَّى يَوْمَ بُشِّرَ بِرَأْسِ أَبِي جَهْلٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ .
