Sunan Ibn Majah 3124
Muhammad bin Sirin narrated that he asked Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) about sacrifices and whether they are obligatory. He said, ‘the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and the Muslims after him offered sacrifices, and this is the Sunnah.’

محمد بن سیرین کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا: کیا قربانی واجب ہے؟ تو جواب دیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے قربانی کی ہے، اور آپ کے بعد مسلمانوں نے کی ہے، اور یہ سنت جاری ہے۔
Muhammad bin Sireen kehte hain ke main ne Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se poocha: kya qurbani wajib hai? To jawab dia ke Rasool Allah salla allahu alaihi wasallam ne qurbani ki hai, aur aap ke bad musalmano ne ki hai, aur yeh sunnat jari hai.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الضَّحَايَا أَوَاجِبَةٌ هِيَ؟، قَالَ: ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، وَجَرَتْ بِهِ السُّنَّةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَبَلَةُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً.
