Sunan Ibn Majah 3718

Jawdan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘if a man makes an excuse to his brother and he does not accept it, he will bear a burden of sin like that of the tax-collector.’ A Hadith like the above has been narrated through a different chain.


Grade: Da'if

جوذان کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جو شخص اپنے بھائی سے معذرت کرے، اور پھر وہ اسے قبول نہ کرے تو اسے اتنا ہی گناہ ہو گا جتنا محصول ( ٹیکس ) وصول کرنے والے کو اس کی خطا پر ہوتا ہے ۔

Jouzan kehte hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Jo shakhs apne bhai se maazrat kare, aur phir woh usse qabool na kare to usse itna hi gunah hoga jitna mahsul ( tax ) wasool karne wale ko us ki khata par hota hai.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ مِينَاءَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ جُودَانَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنِ اعْتَذَرَ إِلَى أَخِيهِ بِمَعْذِرَةٍ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا،‏‏‏‏ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ خَطِيئَةِ صَاحِبِ مَكْسٍ ،‏‏‏‏
