Chapter on the Mention of Evidence that Boasting in the Building of Mosques is a Sign of the Hour

بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ التَّبَاهِيَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ

Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1322

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Among the signs of the Hour is that people will boast about their mosques."

سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ ہے کہ لوگ مساجد کے بارے میں فخر و مباہات کا اظہار کریں گے ـ“

Sayyidina Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu bayan karte hain keh Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ”Qayamat ki nishaniyon mein se yeh hai keh log masajid ke bare mein fakhr-o-mubahat ka izhaar karenge ـ“

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، نَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ بِالْمَسَاجِدِ"

Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Day of Judgment will not come until people boast and take pride in (the construction and decoration of) mosques."


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت قائم نہیں ہوگی حتّیٰ کہ لوگ مساجد (کی تعمیر و تزئین) میں فخر و مباہات کرنے لگیں۔“

Sayyidina Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ”Qayamat qa'im nahin hogi hatta ke log masajid (ki tameer o tazeen) mein fakhr-o-mubahat karne lagen.“

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، نَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَأَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ"
