It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the sun eclipsed during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it was announced, "Verily, the congregational prayer is (ready) for it, so come (to the prayer)." Then the complete Hadith was narrated. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Mu'awiyah bin Salam also narrated this Hadith in the same way from Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him).

سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد مبارک میں سورج کو گرہن لگا تو یہ اعلان کیا گیا، بیشک جمع کرنے والی نماز (تیار ہے) (اس) کے لئے آؤ۔ پھر مکمّل حدیث بیان کی۔ امام ابوبکر رحمه الله فرماتے ہیں کہ اسی طرح اس روایت کو معاویہ بن سلام نے بھی سیدنا ابوسلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے واسطے سے سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے بیان کیا ہے۔
Sayyidina Abdullah bin Amru raziallahu anhu se riwayat hai ki jab Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke ahd mubarak mein sooraj ko grahan laga to yeh elaan kiya gaya, beshak jama karne wali namaz (taiyar hai) (us) ke liye aao. Phir mukmmal hadees bayan ki. Imam Abu Bakr rehmatullah farmate hain ki isi tarah is riwayat ko Muawiyah bin Salam ne bhi Sayyidina Abu Salma raziallahu anhu ke waste se Sayyidina Abdullah bin Amru raziallahu anhu se bayan kiya hai.
