Chapter on Bringing a Staff to the Prayer Place for the Two Eids,

بَابُ إِخْرَاجِ الْعَنَزَةِ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى،

Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1433

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go out on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (to the place of Eid prayer) with a spear, and he would pray towards it (using it as a sutrah), and after the prayer he would deliver the sermon.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا بیان ہے کہ رسول اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عید الفطر اور عیدالاضحیٰ کے دن (عیدگاہ میں) نیزہ لیکر نکلتے تھے اُسے سُترہ بنا کر نماز پڑھتے تھے اور نماز کے بعد خطبہ دیتے تھے۔

Sayyidna Ibn Umar Raziallahu Anhuma ka bayan hai ki Rasool Akram Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Eid-ul-Fitr aur Eid-ul-Azha ke din (Eidgah mein) neza lekar nikalte thay usay sutra bana kar namaz parhte thay aur namaz ke baad khutba dete thay.

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَرْكُزُ الْحَرْبَةَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَالنَّحْرِ يُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا، وَكَانَ يَخْطُبُ بَعْدَ الصَّلاةِ"

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer the Eid prayer on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (in the Eid prayer place) by placing a spear or (javelin) in the ground and using it as a sutrah (prayer barrier).

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عید الفطر اور عیدالاضحیٰ کے دن (عیدگاہ میں) نیزہ یا (برچھی) گاڑ کر اُسے سُترہ بنا کر نماز پڑھتے تھے۔

Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma bayan karte hain ki Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Eid ul Fitr aur Eid ul Azha ke din (Eidgah mein) neza ya (barchhi) gaar kar usay sutra bana kar namaz parhte thay.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلالٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" كَانَ يَخْرُجُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ، وَيَوْمَ الأَضْحَى بِالْحَرْبَةِ يَغْرِزُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ يَقُومُ يُصَلِّي"
