It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver the sermon (on the day of Eid) after the prayer. In the narration of Janab Hammad bin Mas'adah, these words are mentioned: "Meaning, on the day of Eid (he would deliver the sermon after the prayer)."

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم (عید والے دن) نماز کے بعد خطبہ دیتے تھے۔ جناب حماد بن مسعدہ کی روایت میں یہ الفاظ ہیں کہ یعنی عید والے دن (نماز کے بعد خطبہ ارشاد فرماتے تھے)۔
Sayyidna Ibn Umar Radi Allahu Anhuma se riwayat hai ki Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Eid wale din) Namaz ke baad khutbah dete thay. Janab Hammad bin Masadah ki riwayat mein ye alfaz hain ki yani Eid wale din (Namaz ke baad khutbah irshad farmate thay).
