كِتَابُ الصَّلَاةِ
Chapter on the Mention that the Prophet (PBUH) Prayed This Prayer, Leading Each Group in One Raka'ah, and Neither Group Made Up What They Missed
بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ بِكُلِّ طَائِفَةٍ رَكْعَةً وَلَمْ يَقْضِ الطَّائِفَتَانِ شَيْئًا،
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1348
Sayyiduna Jabir ibn Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates the aforementioned hadith from the Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. However, he does not mention in it the words that then the Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, returned the greeting.
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مذکورہ بالا حدیث کی مثل روایت کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن اس میں یہ الفاظ بیان نہیں کیے کہ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سلام پھیر دیا۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مَنْحُوفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، وَمِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ:" ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ"
