Malik related to me that he had heard that Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Messenger of Allah! Shall we be destroyed while there are people who are salih among us?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Yes, if there is much wickedness."
امام مالک رحمہ اللہ کو یہ خبر پہنچی کہ بے شک سیدہ ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا زوجہ پیغمبر ﷺ نے عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ ! کیا ہم اس حال میں ہلاک ہو سکتے ہیں کہ ہمارے اندر نیک لوگ بھی موجود ہوں ؟ تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں ، جب برائی ( یا زنا ) زیادہ ہو جائے ۔‘‘
Imaam Maalik rehmatullah alaih ko yeh khabar pahunchi keh be shak Sayyidah Umme Salmah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) zaujah Paighambar ﷺ ne arz kiya keh aye Allah ke Rasool ﷺ ! kya hum iss haal mein halaak ho sakte hain keh humare andar nek log bhi maujood hon? To Rasool Allah ﷺ ne farmaya: "haan, jab burai (ya zina) zyada ho jaye."
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَنَهْلِكُ ، وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « نَعَمْ ، إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ »
