Lady Aisha, the Mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with her, narrated that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away from this world, his pure wives intended to send Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, to Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him (who was the Caliph of the Muslims). They wanted him to ask him about the inheritance that was due to them from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. So Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said to them: "Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, not say: 'We (meaning the Prophets, peace and blessings be upon them) are not inherited from, and whatever we leave behind is charity.'?"
سیدہ عائشہ ام المومنین رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ بلاشبہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی ازواج مطہرات نے جس وقت کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دنیا سے رخصت ہوئے ، یہ ارادہ کیا کہ حضرت عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ کو ( خلیفۃ المسلمین ) حضرت ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف بھیجیں ۔ وہ ان سے اس وراثت کا سوال کرنا چاہتی تھیں جو انھیں رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ملنی تھی تو حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان سے فرمایا : کیا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے یہ نہیں فرمایا تھا :’’ ہمارا ( یعنی انبیائے کرام علیہم السلام کا ) وارث نہیں بنا جاتا ، ہم جو کچھ بھی چھوڑ جائیں وہ صدقہ ہو جاتا ہے ۔‘‘
Syeda Ayesha Ummulmomineen Raziallahu Anha se riwayat hai keh bila shuba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki azwaj mutahirat ne jis waqt keh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) duniya se rukhsat huye, yeh irada kiya keh Hazrat Usman bin Affan Raziallahu Anhu ko (Khalifatul Muslimeen) Hazrat Abubakar Siddiq Raziallahu Anhu ki taraf bhejen. Wo un se is wirasat ka sawal karna chahti thi jo unhen Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se milni thi to Hazrat Ayesha Raziallahu Anha ne un se farmaya: kya Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye nahin farmaya tha: "Humara (yani Anbiyae Kiraam Alaihimussalam ka) waris nahin banaya jata, hum jo kuchh bhi chhor jayen wo sadqa ho jata hai."
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَنَّ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَرَدْنَ أَنْ يَبْعَثْنَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فَيَسْأَلْنَهُ مِيرَاثَهُنَّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ، فَقَالَتْ لَهُنَّ عَائِشَةُ : أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « لَا نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ »
