Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az- Zubayr from A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed in the mosque one night and people prayed behind him. Then he prayed the next night and there were more people. Then they gathered on the third or fourth night and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not come out to them. In the morning, he said, "I saw what you were doing and the only thing that prevented me from coming out to you was that I feared that it would become obligatory (fard) for you." This happened in Ramadan.

سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا زوجہ پیغمبر ﷺ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ( ماہِ رمضان کی ) ایک رات مسجد میں نماز پڑھی تو کچھ لوگوں نے بھی ( بعد میں شامل ہو کر پیچھے کھڑے ہو کر ) آپ ﷺ کی نماز کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی ، پھر آپ ﷺ نے اگلی رات ( یہی تراویح کی ) نماز پڑھی تو ( آپ ﷺ کے پیچھے نماز ادا کرنے والے ) لوگ بھی بڑھ گئے ، پھر وہ تیسری یا چوتھی رات جمع ہوئے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کی طرف ( نماز پڑھانے کے لیے ) نہ آئے ، پھر جب صبح ہوئی تو فرمایا :’’ میں نے وہ ( سب کچھ ) دیکھ لیا تھا جو تم نے کیا تھا ، ( لیکن میں پھر بھی نہ نکلا ) اور مجھے تمھاری طرف نکلنے سے اس کے علاوہ اور کسی چیز نے نہیں روکا کہ مجھے یہ خدشہ لاحق ہو گیا تھا کہ ( کہیں ) یہ نماز تم پر فرض ( نہ ) کر دی جائے ۔‘‘ اور یہ واقعہ ماہِ رمضان میں پیش آیا ۔
Sayyida Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) Zawja Paigambar ﷺ se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ﷺ ne (maah e Ramzan ki) aik raat masjid mein namaz parhi to kuchh logon ne bhi (baad mein shamil ho kar peechhe khade ho kar) Aap ﷺ ki namaz ke sath namaz ada ki, phir Aap ﷺ ne agli raat (yahi taraweeh ki) namaz parhi to (Aap ﷺ ke peechhe namaz ada karne wale) log bhi badh gaye, phir woh teesri ya chauthi raat jama hue to Rasul Allah ﷺ un ki taraf (namaz parhane ke liye) na aaye, phir jab subah hui to farmaya: "Main ne woh (sab kuchh) dekh liya tha jo tum ne kiya tha, (lekin main phir bhi na nikla) aur mujhe tumhari taraf nikalne se iske alawa aur kisi cheez ne nahi roka ki mujhe ye khadsha lahaq ho gaya tha ki (kahin) ye namaz tum par farz (na) kar di jaye." Aur ye waqea maah e Ramzan mein pesh aaya.
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ، فَصَلَّى بِصَلَاتِهِ نَاسٌ . ثُمَّ صَلَّى اللَّيْلَةَ الْقَابِلَةَ ، فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ . ثُمَّ اجْتَمَعُوا مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ ، فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ . فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ ، قَالَ : « قَدْ رَأَيْتُ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ ، وَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي مِنَ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَيْكُمْ ، إِلَّا أَنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ » وَذَلِكَ فِي رَمَضَانَ
