Muwatta Imam Malik 1121
Yahya related to me from Malik from Humayd at-Tawil from Anas ibn Malik that Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he had a traceof yellow on him. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked about it. He told him that he had just been married. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "How much did you hand over to her?" He said, "The weight of a date pit in gold." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "Hold a feast, even if it is only with a sheep.

حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ بے شک حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس اس حال میں آئے کہ ان پر زردی کا نشان تھا ، پس رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے ( اس کے متعلق ) پوچھا تو انھوں نے آپ کو بتایا کہ انھوں نے انصار کی ایک عورت سے شادی کر لی ہے ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ ’’ تم نے اسے کتنا حق مہر دیا ہے ؟‘‘ انھوں نے کہا کہ ایک گٹھلی کے برابر سونا ، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا :’’ ولیمہ کرو ، اگرچہ ایک بکری کے ساتھ کرو ۔‘‘
Hazrat Anas bin Malik RA se riwayat hai ki be shak Hazrat Abdur Rehman bin Auf RA Rasool Allah SAW ke pass is hal mein aaye ki un par zurdi ka nishan tha, pas Rasool Allah SAW ne unse (iske mutaliq) poocha to unhon ne aap ko bataya ki unhon ne Ansar ki ek aurat se shadi kar li hai, Rasool Allah SAW ne unse farmaya ki "Tum ne use kitna haq meher diya hai?" Unhon ne kaha ki ek gutli ke barabar sona, to Rasool Allah SAW ne unse farmaya: "Walima karo, agarcheh ek bakri ke sath karo."
وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبِهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ ، فَسَأَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « كَمْ سُقْتَ إِلَيْهَا »؟ فَقَالَ : زِنَةَ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : « أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ »
