Muwatta Imam Malik 1223
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Said ibn al-Musayyab and Sulayman ibn Yasar said, "The idda of a slave-girl when her husband dies is two months and five days."

امام مالک رحمہ اللہ کو یہ خبر پہنچی کہ سعید بن مسیب اور سلیمان بن یسار رحمہ اللہ فرمایا کرتے تھے کہ لونڈی کا جب خاوند فوت ہو جائے تو اس کی عدت دو ماہ اور پانچ راتیں ہیں ۔
imam malik rehmatullah alaih ko yeh khabar pahunchi keh saeed bin musaib aur sulaiman bin yasir rehmatullah alaih farmaya karte thay keh laundi ka jab khawand foot ho jaye to uski iddat do mah aur panch raatain hain
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ كَانَا يَقُولَانِ : « عِدَّةُ الْأَمَةِ إِذَا هَلَكَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا شَهْرَانِ وَخَمْسُ لَيَالٍ »
