Description of the virtues of these three (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman)

بيان مناقب هؤلاء الثلاثة

Mishkat al-Masabih 6083

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) climbed Mount Uhud. Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) were with him. It (the mountain) shook, so he (the Prophet) stamped his foot on it and said, “O Uhud! Be firm, for upon you is a Prophet, a Siddiq (Truthful - referring to Abu Bakr) and two martyrs (referring to Umar and Uthman).” (Sahih al-Bukhari)


Grade: Sahih

انس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ احد پہاڑ پر چڑھے ، ابوبکر و عمر اور عثمان ؓ بھی آپ کے ساتھ تھے ، اس نے حرکت کی تو آپ نے اس پر اپنا پاؤں مار کر فرمایا :’’ احد ! ٹھہر جاؤ ، تم پر ایک نبی ہے ، ایک صدیق اور دو شہید ہیں ۔‘‘ رواہ البخاری ۔

عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَعِدَ أُحُدًا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ فَرَجَفَ بِهِمْ فَضَرَبَهُ بِرِجْلِهِ فَقَالَ: «اثْبُتْ أُحُدُ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ نَبِيٌّ وَصِدِّيقٌ وَشَهِيدَانِ» . رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ

Mishkat al-Masabih 6084

Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a garden in Medina. A man came and asked permission to enter. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Open the door for him and give him the good news of Paradise." So I opened the door for him, and it was Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). I gave him the good news of Paradise, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had commanded me, and he praised Allah. Then another man came and also asked permission to enter. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Open the door for him and give him the good news of Paradise." So I opened the door for him, and it was Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). I gave him the good news of Paradise, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had commanded me, and he praised Allah. Then another man asked permission to enter, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, "Open the door for him and give him the good news of Paradise, after the trials that he will face." It was Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). I told him what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had said, and he praised Allah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Verily, we seek help from Allah alone." Agreed upon.

ابوموسیٰ اشعری ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں مدینہ کے ایک باغ میں نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ تھا ، ایک آدمی آیا اور اس نے دروازہ کھولنے کی درخواست کی تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس کے لیے دروازہ کھول دو ، اور اسے جنت کی بشارت دو ۔‘‘ چنانچہ میں نے اس شخص کے لیے دروازہ کھول دیا تو وہ ابوبکر ؓ تھے ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے فرمان کے مطابق انہیں جنت کی بشارت سنائی تو انہوں نے اللہ کی حمد بیان کی ، پھر ایک اور آدمی آیا اور اس نے بھی دروازہ کھولنے کا کہا تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس کے لیے بھی دروازہ کھول دو ، اور اسے بھی جنت کی بشارت سناؤ ۔‘‘ چنانچہ میں نے اس کے لیے دروازہ کھولا تو وہ عمر ؓ تھے ، میں نے نبی ﷺ کے فرمان کے مطابق انہیں بھی جنت کی بشارت سنائی تو انہوں نے اللہ کی حمد بیان کی ، پھر ایک اور آدمی نے دروازہ کھولنے کی درخواست کی تو آپ ﷺ نے مجھے فرمایا :’’ اس کے لیے دروازہ کھول دو اور اسے بھی جنت کی بشارت سنا دو ، ان مصائب کے بعد جن سے ان کا واسطہ پڑے گا ۔‘‘ تو وہ عثمان ؓ تھے ، میں نے نبی ﷺ کے فرمان کے مطابق انہیں بتایا تو انہوں نے اللہ کی حمد بیان کی ۔ پھر فرمایا : اللہ ہی سے مدد درکار ہے ۔ متفق علیہ ۔

Abu Musa Ashari bayan karte hain, main Madina ke aik bagh mein Nabi ke sath tha, aik aadmi aaya aur usne darwaza kholne ki darkhwast ki to Nabi ne farmaya: "Iske liye darwaza khol do, aur use jannat ki basharat do." Chunancha mainne us shakhs ke liye darwaza khol diya to woh Abubakar the, mainne Rasul Allah ke farman ke mutabiq unhen jannat ki basharat sunai to unhon ne Allah ki hamd bayan ki, phir aik aur aadmi aaya aur usne bhi darwaza kholne ka kaha to Nabi ne farmaya: "Iske liye bhi darwaza khol do, aur use bhi jannat ki basharat sunao." Chunancha mainne uske liye darwaza khola to woh Umar the, mainne Nabi ke farman ke mutabiq unhen bhi jannat ki basharat sunai to unhon ne Allah ki hamd bayan ki, phir aik aur aadmi ne darwaza kholne ki darkhwast ki to Aap ne mujhe farmaya: "Iske liye darwaza khol do aur use bhi jannat ki basharat suna do, in masaib ke baad jinse unka wasta padega." To woh Usman the, mainne Nabi ke farman ke mutabiq unhen bataya to unhon ne Allah ki hamd bayan ki. Phir farmaya: Allah hi se madad darkar hai. Mutfiq alaih.

وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَائِطٍ مِنْ حِيطَانِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» فَفَتَحْتُ لَهُ فَإِذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَاسْتَفْتَحَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ» . فَفَتَحْتُ لَهُ فَإِذا هُوَ عُمَرُ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ثُمَّ اسْتَفْتَحَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لِي: «افْتَحْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ عَلَى بَلْوَى تُصِيبُهُ» فَإِذَا عُثْمَانُ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ثمَّ قَالَ: الله الْمُسْتَعَان. مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ

Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, “During the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) we used to say Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them).” (Sahih, narrated by At-Tirmidhi)


Grade: Sahih

ابن عمر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کی حیات مبارکہ میں ابوبکر ، عمر اور عثمان رضی اللہ عنھم کہا کرتے تھے ۔ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔

Ibn Umar RA bayan karte hain, hum Rasul Allah SAW ki hayat mubarakah mein Abu Bakr, Umar aur Uthman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kaha karte the. Sahih, riwayat al-Tirmidhi.

عَن ابْن عمر قَالَ: كُنَّا نَقُولُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَيٌّ: أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ رَضِي الله عَنْهُم. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Mishkat al-Masabih 6086

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I saw a righteous man in my dream last night, as if he were Abu Bakr, who was hanging with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Umar was hanging with Abu Bakr, and Uthman was hanging with Umar." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When we left the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we said: The righteous man refers to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the others who are hanging with each other, this means that they are the guardians of this religion with which Allah sent His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). (Weak Hadith, narrated by Abu Dawud)


Grade: Da'if

جابر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ رات مجھے خواب میں ایک مرد صالح دکھایا گیا گویا وہ ابوبکر ؓ ہیں ، جو کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ معلق ہیں ، عمر ابوبکر کے ساتھ معلق ہیں ، اور عثمان عمر کے ساتھ معلق ہیں ۔‘‘ جابر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس سے اٹھے تو ہم نے کہا : مرد صالح سے مراد رسول اللہ ﷺ ہیں ، اور دوسرے جو ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ معلق ہیں ، اس سے مراد یہ ہے کہ وہ اس دین کے والی ہیں ، جس کے ساتھ اللہ نے اپنے نبی ﷺ کو مبعوث فرمایا ہے ۔ سندہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔

Jibir se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah ne farmaya: "Raat mujhe khwab mein ek mard saleh dikhaya gaya goya woh Abubakar hain, jo keh Rasool Allah ke saath muallaq hain, Umar Abubakar ke saath muallaq hain, aur Usman Umar ke saath muallaq hain." Jibir bayan karte hain, jab hum Rasool Allah ke paas se uthe to hum ne kaha: "Mard saleh se murad Rasool Allah hain, aur dusre jo ek dusre ke saath muallaq hain, is se murad yeh hai keh woh is Deen ke wali hain, jis ke saath Allah ne apne Nabi ko mab'oos farmaya hai."

عَن جابرن أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أُرِيَ اللَّيْلَةَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ كَأَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ نِيطَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنِيطَ عُمَرُ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَنِيطَ عُثْمَانُ بِعُمَرَ» قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَلَمَّا قُمْنَا مِنْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْنَا: أَمَّا الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ فَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَأَمَّا نَوْطُ بَعْضِهِمْ بِبَعْضٍ فَهُمْ وُلَاةُ الْأَمْرِ الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ
