Mishkat al-Masabih 1249
He said he asked the Prophet about a man who prays sitting, and he replied, “If he prays standing that is more excellent; but one who prays sitting has half the reward of one who stands, and one who prays lying down has half the reward of one who sits.” Bukhari transmitted it.

عمران بن حصین ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھنے والے شخص کے بارے میں نبی ﷺ سے دریافت کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اگر وہ کھڑا ہو کر نماز پڑھتا تو وہ بہتر ہے ، اور جو شخص بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھے تو اس کے لیے کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھنے والے سے نصف اجر ہے ، اور جو شخص لیٹ کر نماز پڑھے تو اس کے لیے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھنے والے سے نصف اجر ہے ۔‘‘ رواہ البخاری ۔
Imran bin Husain RA se riwayat hai ki unhon ne beth kar namaz parhne wale shakhs ke baare mein Nabi SAW se daryaft kiya to aap SAW ne farmaya agar woh khara ho kar namaz parhta to woh behtar hai aur jo shakhs beth kar namaz parhe to us ke liye khare ho kar namaz parhne wale se nisf ajr hai aur jo shakhs lait kar namaz parhe to us ke liye beth kar namaz parhne wale se nisf ajr hai Riwayat Bukhari
وَعَن عمرَان بن حُصَيْن: أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ قَاعِدًا. قَالَ: «إِنْ صَلَّى قَائِمًا فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ وَمَنْ صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَائِمِ وَمَنْ صَلَّى نَائِمًا فَلَهُ نصف أجل الْقَاعِد» . رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
