What to say to a person afflicted in the calamity of death

‘Abdallah b. Ja'far reported God’s messenger assaying:Recite to those of you who die, “There is no god but God, the Clement, the Beneficent; glory be to God the Lord of the mighty throne; praise be to God the Lord of the universe.” On being asked what is appropriate for the living, he replied that these words were better and better. Ibn Majah transmitted it.

عبداللہ بن جعفر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اپنے قریب المرگ افراد کو ان کلمات کی تلقین کرو : اللہ حلیم و کریم کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ، اللہ عرش عظیم کا رب پاک ہے ، ہر قسم کی تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا پروردگار ہے ۔‘‘ صحابہ نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! (یہ کلمات) زندوں کے متعلق کیسے ہیں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : بہت خوب ! بہت خوب ۔‘‘ ضعیف ۔
Abdullah bin Jaffar bayan karte hain, keh Rasul Allah ne farmaya: Apne qareeb ul marg afrad ko in kalimat ki talqeen karo: Allah Haleem o Kareem ke siwa koi mabood bar haq nahin, Allah Arsh Azeem ka Rab pak hai, har qisam ki tareef Allah ke liye hai jo tamam jahano ka parwardigaar hai. Sahaba ne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasul! (Yeh kalimat) zindon ke mutalliq kaise hain? Aap ne farmaya: Bahut khoob! Bahut khoob. zaeef..
وَعَن عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَقِّنُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ لِلْأَحْيَاءِ؟ قَالَ: «أَجود وأجود» . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه
