Abū Huraira said:I had been placed in charge of thezakātof Ramadān by God’s messenger, and when someone came to me and began to take up handfuls of the food, I seized him and told him I was certainly going to take him before God’s messenger. But when he said, “I am needy, have children dependent on me, and my need is great,” I let him go. In the morning the Prophet asked, “What happened to your prisoner last night, Abū Huraira?” and I replied, “Messenger of God, he complained of great need and of having children dependent on him, so I had pity on him and let him go.” He said, “He lied to you, and he will come back.” I realised that he would return because God’s messenger had told me so, and therefore I lay in wait for him. When he came and began to take up handfuls of the food, I seized him and told him I was certainly going to take him before God's messenger; but when he said, “Let me go, for I am needy with children dependent on me, and I shall not return” I had pity on him and let him go. In the morning God’s messenger asked me, “What has happened to your prisoner, Abū Huraira?” and I replied, “Messenger of God, he complained of great need and of having children dependent on him, so I had pity on him and let him go.” He said, “He has certainly lied to you, and he will come back,” so I lay in wait for him, and when he came and took up handfuls of food I seized him and said, “I am certainly going to take you before God’s messenger, for this is the third time you assert you will not return, and then you do.” He said, “If you let me go I will teach you some words by which God will benefit you. When you go to your bed recite the Throne Verse (Qur’ān 2:255), ‘God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal’ to the end of the verse, for a guardian from God will then remain over you and no devil will come near you till the morning.” I therefore let him go, and in the morning God’s messenger asked me, “What has happened to your prisoner?” I replied, “He asserted that he would teach me some words by which God would benefit me.” He said, “He has certainly told you the truth though he is a great liar. Do you know to whom you have been talking for, three nights?” When I replied that I did not, he said, “That was a devil.” Bukhārī transmitted it.

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھے صدقہ فطر کی حفاظت کرنے پر مامور فرمایا ، پس ایک شخص میرے پاس آیا اور غلے سے لپیں بھرنے لگا ، میں نے اسے پکڑ لیا اور کہا : میں تمہیں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس لے کر جاؤں گا ، اس نے کہا : میں محتاج ہوں ، میرے بچے ہیں اور میں بہت ضرورت مند ہوں ، راوی بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے اسے چھوڑ دیا ، صبح ہوئی تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ابوہریرہ ! گزشتہ رات تیرے قیدی نے کیا کیا ؟‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! اس نے سخت ضرورت اور بچوں کی شکایت کی تو مجھے اس پر رحم آ گیا اور میں نے اسے چھوڑ دیا ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس نے تمہارے ساتھ غلط بیانی کی اور وہ پھر آئے گا ۔‘‘ میں نے جان لیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے فرمان کے مطابق وہ پھر آئے گا لہذا میں اس کی تاک میں بیٹھ گیا ، وہ آیا اور غلہ بھرنے لگا تو میں نے اسے پکڑ لیا ، اور میں نے کہا : میں تمہیں ضرور رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں پیش کروں گا ۔ اس نے کہا : میں ضرورت مند اور عیال دار ہوں ، میں پھر نہیں آؤں گا ۔ میں نے اس پر ترس کھاتے ہوئے اسے چھوڑ دیا ، صبح ہوئی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھ سے پوچھا :’’ ابوہریرہ ! تمہارے قیدی کا کیا ہوا ؟‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! اس نے سخت ضرورت اور بچوں کی شکایت کی تو میں نے اس پر رحم کھاتے ہوئے اسے چھوڑ دیا ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس نے تو تم سے غلط بیانی کی اور وہ پھر آئے گا ۔‘‘ میں نے جان لیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے فرمان کے مطابق وہ ضرور آئے گا ۔ میں اس کی تاک میں بیٹھ گیا ، وہ آیا اور غلہ بھرنے لگا تو میں نے اسے پکڑ لیا اور کہا : میں تمہیں ضرور رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں پیش کروں گا اور یہ تیسری اور آخری مرتبہ ہے ، تم کہتے ہو میں پھر نہیں آؤں گا لیکن پھر آ جاتے ہو ، اس نے کہا مجھے چھوڑ دو ، میں تمہیں چند کلمات سکھاؤں گا جن کے ذریعے اللہ تمہیں فائدہ پہنچائے گا ۔ جب تم سونے کے لیے اپنے بستر پر آؤ تو مکمل آیت الکرسی پڑھو ، اس طرح اللہ کی طرف سے تم پر ایک محافظ مقرر ہو جائے گا اور شیطان تمہارے قریب نہیں آئے گا حتیٰ کہ صبح ہو جائے گی ، میں نے اسے چھوڑ دیا ، صبح ہوئی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھے فرمایا :’’ تمہارے قیدی نے کیا کیا ؟‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، اس نے کہا کہ وہ مجھے چند کلمات سکھائے گا جن کے ذریعے اللہ مجھے فائدہ پہنچائے گا ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اس نے تم سے سچ کہا حالانکہ وہ جھوٹا ہے ، کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ تم تین روز سے کس کے ساتھ باتیں کرتے رہے ہو ؟‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا ، نہیں ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ وہ شیطان تھا ۔‘‘ رواہ البخاری ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne mujhe sadqah fitr ki hifazat karne par mamoor farmaya, pas ek shakhs mere pas aaya aur ghale se lapein bharne laga, maine usse pakad liya aur kaha: mein tumhein Rasool Allah ke pas le kar jaoon ga, usne kaha: mein mohtaj hoon, mere bache hain aur mein bohat zaroorat mand hoon, ravi bayan karte hain, maine usse chhod diya, subah hui to Nabi ne farmaya: “Abu Hurairah! Guzishta raat tumhare qaidee ne kya kiya?”, maine arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Usne sakht zaroorat aur bachon ki shikayat ki to mujhe us par reham aa gaya aur maine usse chhod diya, Aap ne farmaya: “Usne tumhare saath ghalat bayani ki aur woh phir aayega.”, maine jaan liya ke Rasool Allah ke farmaan ke mutabiq woh phir aayega lihaza mein us ki tak mein baith gaya, woh aaya aur ghala bharne laga to maine usse pakad liya, aur maine kaha: mein tumhein zaroor Rasool Allah ki khidmat mein pesh karoon ga. Usne kaha: mein zaroorat mand aur ayaal daar hoon, mein phir nahin aaoon ga. Maine us par taras khate hue usse chhod diya, subah hui to Rasool Allah ne mujhse poocha: “Abu Hurairah! Tumhare qaidee ka kya hua?”, maine arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Usne sakht zaroorat aur bachon ki shikayat ki to maine us par reham khate hue usse chhod diya, Aap ne farmaya: “Usne to tumse ghalat bayani ki aur woh phir aayega.”, maine jaan liya ke Rasool Allah ke farmaan ke mutabiq woh zaroor aayega. Mein us ki tak mein baith gaya, woh aaya aur ghala bharne laga to maine usse pakad liya aur kaha: mein tumhein zaroor Rasool Allah ki khidmat mein pesh karoon ga aur yeh teesri aur aakhri martaba hai, tum kehte ho mein phir nahin aaoon ga lekin phir aa jate ho, usne kaha mujhe chhod do, mein tumhein chand kalmaat sikhaoonga jin ke zariye Allah tumhein faida pohanchaye ga. Jab tum sone ke liye apne bistar par aao to mukammal ayat al kursi padho, is tarah Allah ki taraf se tum par ek muhafiz muqarrar ho jayega aur shaitan tumhare qareeb nahin aayega hatta ke subah ho jayegi, maine usse chhod diya, subah hui to Rasool Allah ne mujhe farmaya: “Tumhare qaidee ne kya kiya?”, maine arz kiya, usne kaha ke woh mujhe chand kalmaat sikhayega jin ke zariye Allah mujhe faida pohanchaye ga, Aap ne farmaya: “Usne tumse sach kaha halanke woh jhoota hai, kya tum jante ho ke tum teen roz se kiske saath baatein karte rahe ho?”, maine arz kiya, nahin, Aap ne farmaya: “Woh shaitan tha.” Riwayat al Bukhari.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: وَكَّلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحِفْظِ زَكَاةِ رَمَضَانَ فَأَتَانِي آتٍ فَجَعَلَ يَحْثُو من الطَّعَام فَأَخَذته وَقلت وَالله لَأَرْفَعَنَّكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي مُحْتَاجٌ وَعَلَيَّ عِيَالٌ وَلِي حَاجَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ قَالَ فَخَلَّيْتُ عَنْهُ فَأَصْبَحْتُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَة مَا فعل أسيرك البارحة» . قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ شَكَا حَاجَةً شَدِيدَةً وَعِيَالًا فَرَحِمْتُهُ فَخَلَّيْتُ سَبِيلَهُ قَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُ قَدْ كَذَبَكَ وَسَيَعُودُ» . فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيَعُودُ لِقَوْلِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنَّهُ سيعود» . فَرَصَدْتُهُ فَجَاءَ يَحْثُو مِنَ الطَّعَامِ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ: لَأَرْفَعَنَّكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ دَعْنِي فَإِنِّي مُحْتَاجٌ وَعَلَيَّ عِيَالٌ لَا أَعُودُ فَرَحِمْتُهُ فَخَلَّيْتُ سَبِيلَهُ فَأَصْبَحْتُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ مَا فَعَلَ أَسِيرُكَ؟» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ شَكَا حَاجَةً شَدِيدَةً وَعِيَالًا فَرَحِمْتُهُ فَخَلَّيْتُ سَبِيلَهُ قَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُ قَدْ كَذبك وَسَيَعُودُ» . فرصدته الثَّالِثَة فَجَاءَ يَحْثُو مِنَ الطَّعَامِ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ لَأَرْفَعَنَّكَ إِلَى رَسُول الله وَهَذَا آخِرُ ثَلَاثِ مَرَّاتٍ إِنَّكَ تَزْعُمُ لَا تَعُودُ ثُمَّ تَعُودُ قَالَ دَعْنِي أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ ينفعك الله بهَا قلت مَا هُوَ قَالَ إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ فَاقْرَأْ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ (اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ)\حَتَّى تَخْتِمَ الْآيَةَ فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ يَزَالَ عَلَيْكَ من الله حَافظ وَلَا يقربنك شَيْطَانٌ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ فَخَلَّيْتُ سَبِيلَهُ فَأَصْبَحْتُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا فَعَلَ أَسِيرُكَ؟» قُلْتُ: زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ يُعَلِّمُنِي كَلِمَات يَنْفَعنِي الله بهَا فخليت سبيلهقال النَّبِي صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «أما إِنَّه قد صدقك وَهُوَ كذوب تعلم من تخاطب مُنْذُ ثَلَاث لَيَال» . يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَة قَالَ لَا قَالَ: «ذَاك شَيْطَان» . رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ\
